vu+Duo and panasonic surround sound

Connected my optical cable from Pana Surround sound into the SPDIF connector on box but unable to get sound? i have scart from Pana box to TV which obviously allows surrond via AV with terestrial TV? gotta be in my settings? any help would be appreciated as im not really a techo person

You might need to set the audio type on the surround sound.

I had same issue on a yamaha soundbar. The audio type was set as dts and no sound, changed it to auto and I had sound as dolby digital detected.
