Hey Desitv how u doing welcome to the forum

as sic said look at that thread it list a lot of tested hdd's

in recent days 1 2TB hdd is tested by a few and reported working

so its up to you

worst come to worst you can partition the hdd to make it 2x 1TB hdds and allocate them as /media/hdd and /media/hdd2 anbd synlink them to work within the recording paths

pooface is an expert at that as this is his home setup

Ive got the 1TB version of that HDD and it works perfectly fine for me too, only used to store recordings though and has been used for timeshifts and worked fine

You'd be better starting your own topic.

Have you initialized your HDD?

I have a WD20EARS 2tb drive in my Vu+ duo.

I have been entirely unable to use it, right up until I installed the latest VIX image (2.1 is it? My memory is rubbish!), and now it works fine. I have been able to initialise it finally! So, as long as you are using that latest image hopefully that drive will work fine for you, too.

Cheerio,

Keith.

had the lastest image, my would initialise no problem but had a problem when pausing and recording a different channel on, ive now been told i should set jumper 5-6, and 7-8 but installing it, and if it has been formatted without it need to be put in pc and repartition to a raw formatt then the jumpers set and setup in the vu duo
