[VU+ Solo2] Which plugins run under python 3 (openvix 6.1....)

Dear all

I have on my VU+ Solo2 still the 5.4.016 image because of the plugins I use. When I tried a 6.0.. image all my preferred plugins had gone (no more supported because of python 3).

Do you have a catalogue of the downloadable plugins under 6.1....?

I am interested in:

- permanent clock
- media portal
- hbbtv
- MP3 player
- webradio
- weather
- picture player
- video player
- Wikipedia
- Youube
- Net Speed Test

My skin is VIXBMC_1080_Confluence (1920 x 1080)

Please don't tell me I just should install the latest image and see what I can download. Restoring MP3 Browser und webradioFS just takes too much time.

Hi,
make an image backup so that you can go back in a few minutes and test for yourself. At least media portal will NOT work. The maintainer will not support normale E2 STBs anymore. HbbTV and Youtube worked for me as far as I can remember.

Test versions of Python3 images were available 9 months ago....

Ok, I'll host vuultimo4k osmio4kplus vuuno4k sf8008 sf8008m zgemmah7 mutant51 vusolo2 osmega.

And maybe Tony can host ax61 zgemmah9series gbue4k/quad4k, possibly others to be decided.

If we have missed anyone please shout.

As @Trial has already said, take an image backup first, and then you can get back to where you were in a few minutes.

I must add that I only tested 4K boxes. I am not sure about HbbTV on FHD boxes.

Did the test with the latest image 6.1.003, restored only settings and loaded plugins one by one.
These are my findings

skin
VIXBMC_1080_Confluence (1920 x 1080) is available and working as expected

hbbTV
working as expected

YouTube
works better than the version under 5.4,996

permanent clock
works as expected

missing plugins
mediaportal - e2iplayer could be a replacement but Swiss TV does not work
mp3Browser - mediaplayer is miles away - no lyrics and no cover, no filer by artist, genre
xmbc weather
Wikipedia
webradioFS - shoutcast is miles away - when searching I could crash the system (will attach the log files).

The 3 year old Wikipedia IPK on OE doesn't load, no source files associated with it.

debug - doesn't like the url, which if you enter into a browser also complains (Yes, I know it shouldn't crash but ........)
