[OS-mini] Will fresh flash remove password?

Wanting to remove password from my edision mini, to pass it on to a friend, if I do a fresh usb flash, with no restore, and set up the unit from scratch, will this remove the password ive set for user = root password = xxxxxxxxxx ??

Yes it should if starting from scratch and no restores.

Delete any backups from the storage device (HDD) if you have one.

Providing you can login as root already then you can try:-

sudo passwd -dl root

@bbbuk unfortunately your command didn't seem to work, got a command unknown error.

a fresh install has removed it, and I am currently installing everything back on for him. thanks for the help guys

The "sudo" command isn't available by default, it'll need adding if you really need it. (Not sure which package it lives in.)
