Yes. I'm not sure how ABM does it. Does each multiplex also broadcast a list of the fequencies of the other multiplexes?

Each mux has a list of the muxes by TSID, but only the frequencies of the DVB-T muxes not the T2 muxes. ABM's hack is listing the frequencies of the T2 muxes in the provider files. And if that doesn't work, create your own provider file.

What happens if you tune one of those T2 channels in satfinder? Does the TSID/ONID data show? Can it list the channels?

My Zgemma H7S used to work well with either one of my XBOX USB DVB-T2 tuners using the dvb-usb-dib0700 driver (they did not work at all with the dvb-usb-mn8847x driver mentioned above).

It might need both.
The XBox one patch in the second link above mentions:

That doesn't seem to fix it for me.

Maybe there are different revisions of XBOX USB DVB-T2 tuners or maybe they chose two possible chipsets so they had a second source?

What happens is very weird.
I think that at first the TSID didn't show, but then I think I explicitly selected DVB-T2 and it started working!
Weirdest of all, even after shutting the box down and starting it up again a couple of times the XBOX tuner is still working for receiving DVB-T2!
It's kind of like some part of the software just needed to be shown that it could use the XBOX tuner for DVB-T2!

Well there is a bit of a delay refreshing the ONID/TSID and orb-pos in satfinder, as well as the channel list and how long the delay is depends on the transponder because some transponders loop the SI table data faster than others.

So it looks like the answer is probably that nothing has changed.
But there is something that gets in a state where it thinks the XBOX DVB-T2 tuner can't do DVB-T2, but it can "learn" that it does do DVB-T2, and then it works perfectly for some time, receiving DVB-T2 and everything as it should until one day, or when a certain unknown thing happens, it doesn't again. Weird.

It depends a lot on the kernel of the receiver

Hi all, Bit late to this game so forgive my ignorance. Is there a list of up to date (ish) receivers that will work with the XBOX one T2 tuner. Soon to be looking for a new box and would love to reutilise my tuner (which is working well on my aged Zgemma H7S). Was looking originally for a quad tuner 2xT2 and 2xS2X but due to lack of options I am now looking at a twin S2X box with a couple of spare USB ports to use a pair of Xbox T2 tuners. I don't really want to go too expensive like the VU+Duo or Gigablue (and I dont see the benefit of paying for a fancy front panel which I neither want nor need) so im looking at some mid range boxes just now like:

• AB PULSe 4K Rev. II
• OCTAGON SF8008 V3 SUPREME TWIN 4K UHD 2x DVB-S2X
• Technomate TM-Twin 4K Enigma 2 Linux UHD

I understand it is down to the linux kernel used on any given box - > is that all the depencdencies there are so can I look at a box and determine its suitability simply on the Linux Kernel it is running?

Hi. I have the XBOX Tuner on my Zgemma (works wonderfully to give me 2x S2 and 2xT2 tuners in total) and also on my Octagon SF8008 V3 Supreme (not so wonderful).

The problem with the Octagon SF8008 V3 Supreme is that the Xbox tuner seems to work fine when you tune in to one of its channels for the first time after a reboot (T2 - e.g. BBC One HD in the UK) but as soon as you move to a non XBOX channel (and the Tuner is not used) it seems to break it. Once I go back to it all I get is a black screen. If I reboot (while on the now Black screen) T2 channel it kicks into life again but only if I navigate away from it and back to it as soon as I reboot - until the next time I change away from it. It's really frustrating.

To eliminate certain things I tried:

1. Using the side USB3 connection instead - no fix
2. I purchased a powered USB Hub (5v 2A PSU) and attached the tuner to that and that to the USB 2 port on the back - no fix

Enigma2 log from the point where I was on a streaming channel and then switching over to the local T2 tuner is also attached. . A couple of interesting things to note: the streamed channel from the Zgemma is broadcast at 25fps but it seems to be being streamed at 30fps??? Maybe a red herring but could be causing the black screen???

The non working XBOX channel is identified by "[Navigation] playing ref 1:0:19:44FE:4082:233A:EEEE0000:0:0:0::ITV1 HD (LT)" at 10:01:30.8993
The main errors appear to be:
10:01:31.3122 [eDVBResourceManager] allocate channel.. 4082:233a
10:01:31.3123 [eDVBResourceManager] channel not found!
10:01:31.3123 [eDVBServicePMTHandler] allocate Channel: res -5
10:01:31.3123 [eDVBServicePlay] DVB service failed to tune - error 10
10:01:31.3126 [Navigation] Streaming was active -> try again


This is my DMESG log for the time that it is chowing a black screen after working/switching away/ switching back. Please notte that I do not have any S2 tuners enabled on the box. The only tuner enabled is the XBOX T2 Tuner. All of my other programs are streamed from my "master" ZGEMMA box.

I can't see anyting obvious in the DMESG (attached DMESG-Broken). It seems to be loading the FW file and everything.

Logfile-worked attached when it worked. BUT crucially - I had to navigate to a non XBOX t2 channel first and then back to the XBOX T2 Channel before it worked. It was on the XBOX T2 channel at reboot but nothing played until I did this.
DMESG-works also attached.


Anyone with a clue ?
