Xpeed LX2 issues

Hi to anyone reading, having purchased an Xpeed LX2 with Open Vix image installed from the sponsor :thumbsup:, this being my first Linux/Enigma experience I Struggled somewhat despite reading "How To's" and downloading / Printing Vix Manual etc. , spent the best part of the day disabling Firewalls / Anti Virus software to get Filezilla to connect to the STB to no avail , and finally a day or so later downloaded and used Flash FXP5 with instant success. While all this was irritating me I had connected the STB to my system but cannot find how to select a Satellite to view ! I should mention that I have a motorised Usals / DiSEqC dish which I have been using for many years and latterly in Usals mode with my Spiderbox 9000HD. Now - on the 9000HD'S remote control there is a dedicated button that will bring up a list of Satellites to choose from and I'm dammed if I can find similar on the LX2's R/C ! Have loaded a Bouquet for 28e 23e 19e 13e but
can only watch 28e at the moment. I'm sure someone reading this knows the answer and maybe confirm if the LX2 has Usals, I suspect not .
Also have now reflashed with V71 image.

If the box is on the same network as the filezilla client, not in a DMZ or sectioned off anyway, there should be no need to mess with disabling Firewalls / Anti Virus software.

Yes, Usals will of course work. Can you post a screenshot of your tuner configurations? Telnet into the box & use

grab -d -p /tmp/grab.png

on the Menu -> Setup -> Tuner configuration -> (each tuner) screens.

In addition to the above post, are you able to see the bouquets from the other satellites? (If your tuners are incorrectly setup they will be grey.)

One way of doing it is
TV (or FAV) > Blue (for Favourites)
You can scroll through the bouquets. Channels will be as listed in bouquets

Another
TV (or FAV) > Green (for satellites)
Select desired satellite. Channel will be in alphabetical order for chosen satellite/cable/terrestrial

Yet another
TV (or FAV) > Red (for All)
Channel will be in alphabetical order for all services irrespective of what satellite they are on.

Thanks for all the replies, I will give it a go tomorrow (Wed) when time permits and report back here. Re - Filezilla - the STB was hard wired into the same BT Hub as the computer with Filezilla running , and showed up in my network, as mentioned in my first post connected immediately using Flash FXP5. Others are experiencing the same connecting problems with the latest Filezilla software so it seems . "JUDGE" I'm not familiar with Telnet so I don't think that I shall be able to respond to your request at this moment of time . At the present time I don't have the LX2 connected up so I'm unable to have a go using any of the suggestions.

Spent a lot of time again today setting up the LX2 with some success with the help of the info from abu baniaz, However I'm a long way from mastering this problematic STB - so far it has failed to see the bouquets that I thought I had loaded !! consequently I have had to scan the Satellites using the Automatic Scan facility resulting in having multiple entries for each Satellite that was scanned with many channels not even visible in the listing!!! so not having any satisfaction with the Set Up as to now so off to try loading a bouquet again. And what's going on guys -yet another update for the Vix Image? watch this space or maybe eBay.
