new image and media player

after updating to latest vix image I dont have media player anymore which i used a lot, how can I play files from my pc now??? any answers ??

Use the vix media player by pressing the second button from the left (three lines with R) under the volume - button. From there if u press yellow button u can add ur network mounts to the list so u can play movies from there and ur hdd too

as punisher said use the inbuilt vix media player, we removed the old default E2 media player as to be honest it is truly awful.

And now you're in the process of discovring the beauty of the ViX Mediaplayer: all kinds of files (video, recordings, MP3, Photo. DVD's and even ISO-files of DvD's) can be played by a single press on OK, preview is nice (if you use a skin with PiG in the movielist) and navigation is very easy indeed.

The default E2 media player is useful for MP3's and FLAC's as it has playlist support which allows you to queue multiple audio files from various local and network folders for playback.

The VIX mediaplayer is more suited to video as it is much quicker and easier to browse.

Are there any music plugins that offer the speed and simplicity of the VIX mediaplayer along with playlist support ?

The MerlinMusicplayer has (I think).

But you're correct: the lack of playlist support is the only missing functionality in the mediaplayer (AFAIK).

as far as i am aware the media player was left in the feeds for those who wanted to download and continue to use it.

Yes, indeed it is, for the real addicts only
But if someone is going to install something to have playlist support, I would suggest to use something more sophisticated.

I totally agree, but some people are stuck in their ways after using such awful programs for years.

the new image is great and much apreceated.
one thing that doesnt seem to work at the moment is rats updater.it installs as it always did but when you execute it in plugins it doesnt connect and dload.apart from that its magic guys thx
