Hi there,

In the old image (2.2) you could use the number keys on the remote control to jump back and forth when doing time shift like you can when looking at a recorded movie. But in the new 2.3 firmware you can't. Is this is a setting that has to be made for it work? If so, where? If not, could you please ad this feature again?

BTW. Great work on this image, it is the best. I only miss this image to my normal DM800SE box too, that would have been awesome!

When this happens, can you stop the recording completely and than go back in and see if that works.

Also when you press the number buttons do you get a box with a cross in it?

Sorry for replaying so late, I had to check a couple of things first.

I have now tested all possible conditions and it doesn't matter if you are recording at the same time or just do time-shift, the number keys does not work. When pressing a number key you get no feedback what so ever, no over crossed box in the upper right corner, not jumping back or forth, no nothing.

It simple does not work, I am sorry to say.

i get this with the latest image too, didnt notice it before 2.3
only on time shift do i get this problem, and appears to be a constant problem.
on a recording they work fine.

as a work around i pause the time shift then pause again to restart the program and then 2x,4x etc, forward or back to where i want to get to

Great to know I am not alone with this problem. Could it be classed as a bug?

Thinking about this, its not a bug as if you were in PTS or TS and the buttons were restricted to FFW/RRW, how would the box know that when you pressed 9 its to jump forward rather than to change to say 901?

Well, you first press pause and then press 1 or 3 for example. This feature works in 2.2 but gone in 2.3.

In 2.3 nothing happens what so ever.

Pressing pause first isn't needed; you can rewind directly. But either way you get into TimeShift.
In 2.3-161 the number-jumps are gone in TimeShift: this is indeed a bug we are investigating right now.

Anyone notice juddering if paused and then watching while in timeshift, this is happening to me after latest upgrade

That is more likely due to the device you are reading/recording from not being able to save/read fast enough... Or problems with the device altogether...

Same USB flash drive as before which also stores my picons and epg with no issues

And is the flash drive capable of such fast simultaneous read/write?

It worked flawlessly before the latest image. It should be able to its not that old

My box just froze, I paused it, then played for a bit and then pressed stop. Normally this would just take you out of timeshift and back to the live service, but mine stayed in time shift and was set to forward 16 and everything was frozen
