hello,

as first , please forgive me if i ask something stated here , i rly did research , couldnt find nothing that helps. I am also not the one whos here all the time due work, kids and many other things, and also, you noticed for sure, not rly good in english.
I am really gettin desperate last few days .flashed 2.3 GM- everything works perfect i just have no words to say how fine the image is . then i installed ViX 2.3.153. Flashing-no probs, setting the things up- no probs at all , no probs with recording or mgcamd noticed, but... When i turn my box off ( stand-by) i can see usual screen with time and date. After something like 10-20 minutes the time on box just stop and box does not response anymore. For example , turned the box today arround 15:30 because of kids wanted to watch some dvd. 2 hours later tryed to start- no chance. the time on vu duo shows 15:50 and box absolutely does not response to any key on remote. I only can see green light blinking when pressing keys on remote but nothing happens . The only way to get Vu duo back is pressing on/off key at the back . Then is everything working flawlesly until i turn box off. After 10- minutes same happens described above.
I have updated drivers described on the forums, but it does not help. Can someone please point me to the right direction in this case? I could not find any single post that describes the problem i am facing since i updated image. flashed something like 20 times last few days, ofc updated boot loader first.
Any help will be really appreciated ...

Welcome aboard!
First of all: do an online update. It will almost certainly not cure your problem, but nevertheless: do so.
Secondly: please enable your debuglogs (menu --> setup --> Logs --> menu.
After a problem, please send us your logs (and also the crashlog if a crash would occur, preferably via the system (same logmanager).

Good luck, and keep us posted (also when logs have been sent).

I always do update right after flashing , so I did it but like you said, no luck
just enabled debuglogs, so I'll try to send one as soon as possible

are the recordings working for anyone on 2.3 if yes can you advise what I need to do? I can only record for a second or two

My Duo has started to do this and I can no longer trust this feature. Sometimes I get a full recording but more often it is just a few seconds. I have done all the updates, so I assume the only thing left is to do a complete new firmware build, or has any other solution been found.

hey guys thanks for this great image.

I just tried zapstream but it doesnt work. Is there an easy way to get it going with VIX because it's based on openPLi?

Streaming to another STB or PC works fine. For streaming to a PC don't forget to set the port of the WEB-IF to "80".

Hej Rob thanks, i know thats working fine, i am talking about Zapstream with VLC like mentioned here:
http://openpli.org/wiki/GenericStream#hn_Option_3a_-_Zapstream_with_VLC_0.9.4

this makes it possible to zap while streaming without the web interface.. maybe there are some alternatives?

I was having the same problem as you, but sice updating to latest drivers my problem got resolved, no more few seconds recorded films. I got the drivers here

Yes I also updated a couple of days ago, and so far seems to be OK, need to try a few more recordings to be 100% sure.

2.3-build 161 is the latest: that's what you should use.

You get build 161 with an online update of your box.
