[VU+ Duo] Vix 3.0 build 237 ? & Updating Online?

I was gonna flash my Vix image from 2.2 to 3.0 build 204 but it seems a new build is coming this evening 237? Should I just go ahead and flash my Vu+Duo receiver with the build 204 and can i then do a update via online on my VU+Duo when build 237 is out?

An online update will update the parts of the image that need updating.
You don't need to do a settings back-up, but it is advised to have one anyway.

the online update just patches your existing image it does not affect any of your settings or channel lists

i always do a backup before every update so if any should go wrong i always have backup image of my last working image before the update

Hi.. You can do a back up of your existing setting if you wish..

this would only be because you do not like the latest Vix image..

you will not be able to use the back that you make with your existing image..

You say that you are using Vix 2.2

If this is the case.. Make sure you flash the cfe bootloader before you flash the new image..

cfe can be found ...HERE...

you can make back ups of your setting on your pc / laptop.. ie.. bouquets.. etc..

Then just ftp them back into the box when you have flashed 3.0 build 237..

Update 240/237

Hi, On vix 3.0 new image using vu+duo had green light on last night to say there was a upgrade to download, after downloaded update it was still on build 240 instead of build 237, done update this morning no updates found.Any help at all why it did not update, Thanks.

From that i took it as you downloaded update and it was updated to build 240 (which is correct latest build) instead of 237... Thats going backwards... If your showing build 240 then thats fine. Or are you saying your trying to update from 237 to 240 and it wont update but keeps showing flashing green light?

Build 204 --> Build 237 --> Build 240. '204' and '240' easily confused. The log suggests that for the Vuduo Build 237 and 240 are more or less the same.

yes pretty much some minor bug fixes and drivers updates etc, but it differs per supported receiver.
