[VU+ Duo] Cams freezing

Well, they should be fine so.
I presume you're using the cam to decode local card?
Get the logs up as soon as you can so someone can work out your issue.

Yep, will do mate if it freezes but so far so good with 1.35a.

As I said, if you have problem mainly on 1.38, then try changing can to that again, and see if it freezes then. Should help speed up finding any problems ;)

I have also had this problem with CCCam freezing on VIX 3.XX mainly when recording 2 channels. I am using CCCam V2.3.0 I have tried re installing this and Version 2.2.1 with no luck.....

I'm now using a reinstalled VIX 2.4x and all appears to be fine again now?

If people can please upload loss when getting these issues, would help a lot in trying to see what the problem could be...

Yeah sorry about that, but I presume that my logs are now lost due to the re install of 2.4 XX

Yes.. They are gone after fresh flash of 2.4..

why not flash 3.x back to your box again.. and then post the logs when/if it happens again.. ?

Try changing The default location for saving logs to a USB stick, this way if you have to flash the receiver you will not loose those very important logs.

Darn it, same problem now with Mgcamd 1.35a, all blank channels and needs a restart. Don't think there is anything much in the cam log file though

It says 'MGcamd.1.35a running OK
2012-09-06 15:37: Timer Check Enabled
2012-09-06 15:37: MGcamd.1.35a running OK
2012-09-06 15:43: Timer Check Enabled
2012-09-06 15:43: MGcamd.1.35a running OK'

But it clearly wasn't and a restart of the softcam sorted it.

And at the time when it stopped running, did you telnet in and check whether the process was still running? i.e. typing top or ps and seeing if you can see mgcamd running. If so, then does mgcamd have an info page, like cccam and oscam? If so, can you try going in to that and seeing if it's working?!

Also, can you post any debug logs from within logs manager?!

Mgcamd doesn't have an info page and can you give me a step by step on the telnet please? I have restarted the cam so I have to wait for it to freeze again to telnet.

Uploaded the mg_cfg. This config worked flawlessly on other Vix versions...

By step by step to telnet, what do you mean? There's a guide which explains how to use telnet here:

http://www.world-of-satellite.com/s...enable-the-default-Telnet-client-in-Windows-7

Is that enough to help you out?

I'm afraid I don't use mgcamd, but as you said, the logs think that the cam is running fine, so I imagine that it was still showing the process was there... I would imagine that it is more likely to be a problem with mgcamd, as it was built for a different oe version... Oscam now has specific builds for the latest oe, so my guess would be it's mgcamd itself...

I don't know what to do in command prompt. So once I telnet into the box what to do i type to see if it is running?

as I said, type ps, which will show all running processes, or type top, to show which is using most cpu (which would likely show mgcamd running near top as other cams I tried do)...
