[VU+ Duo] Subtitles in media player off by default?

Is it possible to turn off subtitles in the media player by default?

I have my vu+ duo networked to my computer with many mkv files and soft coded subs. I can manually turn them off each time I begin streaming a file, but I'd be happier if I could disable them by default. This only affects movies streamed over the network or via usb stick, not live tv channels or recorded programs.

I'm using the default vix media player but have also the media player plugin and have the same problem on both..

Any help would be appreciated.

not sure, but isn't it controlled via the mkv file it self whether or not it enabled as default.
