Volume buttons not working on remote

Hi,
I've installed the lates VIX image, as there was an issue with my mothers duo box, in that it couldn't record one show and and view another show. you know, the basic function. I'm based in London normally and as it's Christmas, the techy son has been asked over to fix this issue.

So, I reflashed the Duo with the latest image (stable not beta) the recording issue seems to be fixed, but now I have 2 new problems..

1: The volume buttons on the Duo remote don't seem to work correctly? HDMI issue ??
2: Audio is fine on BBC HD channels, but on the non HD channels it sort of fades and comes back again... I'm tempted to rebuild the whole box again

I'm able to assist my mother till Friday 4th of Jan, then I have to go back to London, bills have to be paid etc....

btw, I have checked and digital downix is ON (did see the posts about the too guys and their French wives ;

Some background, with have a multi-satellite dish, with 2 LNBs, one for Astra 28.2 and G, soundsod help me, but I have to fine the French TF1 satellite.

Anyway, Hopefully someone sees this before the 4th

That is either down to HDNI-CEC (can be disabled) or to the R/C is set to control the/a TV.

2: Audio is fine on BBC HD channels, but on the non HD channels it sort of fades and comes back again... I'm tempted to rebuild the whole box again.

Don't: this simply means the volume of the box is set too low. Even if the volume buttons cease to work, you can use the WEB-IF to control the volume.

Hi,

Many thanks for the reply. Have fixed the volume control not working the Duo, yes, it was the volume control was linked to the TV volume. Have moved a number of items off the flash onto an external USB drive. This appears to have fixed a number of other issues. Now it's just the waiting game to see that all now works.:thumbsup:
