As title suggests, I've currently got one of my duo's on build 641. I have one power timer set to put my box to deep standby at 01:00am then to wake to standby at 07:00, it is then set to scan epg ten minutes later and run lraizer auto bouquet scan.

Problem being when I wake up last 2 days my box has been awake and not in standby. I'm not at box at the moment to post debug logs I will when I get home.
But has anybody experienced this?

Here are my last logs 4 total that i think you need the last one from (28th pm 29th am) (29th pm and 30th am). it is set to deep standby at 01:30 then wake up to standby at 06:50

Code:
main thread is non-idle! display spinner!
Segmentation fault

looks like you ran out of memory. so e2 prob restarted.

also

Code:
[eFilePushThreadRecorder] Warning: All write buffers busy
[eDVBRecordFileThread] Waiting for I/O to complete

are you recording to network ?

No I'm not recording to network, I have nfs share setup between 2 duo's, but not recording. Also running cache flush plugin, don't know if that matters?
Been running same power timer config for last couple of months since you done all you're power timer upgrades, and haven't had any trouble until 2 days ago. Plus box downstairs still on 629 has identical setup and still runs power timers without problem.

I have just updated this box to 642, set a new power timer for the same scenario but for different times for test purposes, and again it has failed to wake to standby, it woke up completely. I have the logs if you need them!

yes please,

also try this file ftp to box restart gui then delete the .py and leave the .pyo, then try your power timer.

goes to '/usr/lib/enigma2/python/'

Hi i have set up a powertimer to auto restart vu+ duo box. However when the timer kicks in i receive the message asking do i want to restart yes/ no option. Is there someway of not receiving the message screen asking about restarting the box so the box will automatically restarting without having to say yes to the option?

Hi,
normally it should be a count down. If your watching you have a chance to cancel. If your not watching it restarts after a certain time.

ciao

Hi Ciao

i set the timer for 4.15 am and the message came up. once the countdown hit 0 it just kept starting the countdown over again and was the same until around 7.30 am with the meassge to restart yes/ no still present

Hi,
have you checked a current build (#796)? Because I cannot check your version anymore.

ciao

Hi,
I mixed you up with the thread starter:-) Sorry.

I will check restart timer. I use deep standby timer for a year now and they work. A work around would be a deep standby timer and then a standby timer shortly after that.

Perhaps next time an own thread so that misunderstanding could not happen. Read this

ciao Ralf

Hi I updated the build to be 797 and the restart powertimer worked after the timer counted down reached zero and automatically restated. Is the away of setting the count down timer to be shorter?
John

Hi,
not that I know of. Why? So I don´t have to check anymore?

ciao

I just wanted to reduce the waiting time. It seems be working ok now so dont need to check. Thanks for the help

Hello
I have the same problem as mickyblueys and I have downloaded the file navigation.py.gz, but I can't extract it!?! How do I do that? I get the error 512 everytime I try.
In advance: thanks for your help.

Hi,
7zip should be able to extract it. If not download it again.

ciao
