My solo2 was working perfect for a good 6 months.

On demand is working well, so internet is live in the box.

FTA channels working perfect

Old Hard drive recordings work well too.

Pay channels are giving me a black screen, but I have sound and the menu comes up, just no picture.

Not sure what is important to understand my problem but some info from my settings
Vix image 3.0
build 658
kernel 3.3.6
drivers last update 2013-05-03

I have restarted the softcam manager, I have rebooted the box.

But nothing

when did you last update channel list.?There has been a massive amount of channels moved around and had frequency changes in the last week.
I would first update your bouquet/channel list then do a full auto scan.
I would also update your image as we are on 753 now "menu/set up/software update"
If you get no joy from these then i recommend a clean install and start over.

Green in cccam info?

I have done a software update, I have done channel list update, I have done a epg update.
Check soft cam and its green light.

But still the same just free view.

If the next step is a new instal, how do you do this, is there a tutorial?

thanks for all the advice so far

If you did a scan without the presence of new transponders in your satellites.xml, your receiver won't find them unless you use blindscan or use AutoBouquets Maker or Autobouquets 28.2.
The guides are in the guides section.

I have updated the firmware
I downloaded the xml file and put it in egnima2 and reboot E2
I had auto boquets to scan at 3am daily, so i did a blind scan and autoboquets found some channels.

but still not working properly

Wait until next online update.. Hopefully later today..

Do the online update and report back..

I have a buddy with a twin tuner Vu+ Uno.. He rang me today to tell me that he had the exact same problem as you..

Black screen and all sound working..

Just wait for next online update..

Only an opinion:-Best to do the scans after 06:15 if you are doing a scheduled scan. There has to be a time for any changes to be made by the broadcaster, logically this would be at a time fewest users are viewing.

It takes less than a minute for ABM/AB28.2 to run, so I prefer to manually execute them.

Has the card updated in the solo 2 box if so its probably new sky pairing ???? or could be something simple

Still no update's to do

I keep updating boquets, and still no joy?

Has any one over come this problem?

Am I the only person with this problem on a solo2?

Maybe my kids changed something with the remote but all looks good.

I tested my service on amiko mini hd, and my service is good.

All I can think to do is a re instal, but can i save/backup/presserve the data for cccam

Yes you can, just copy CCcam.cfg from /etc to somewhere and after the reflash reinstall CCcam and copy the saved config file back to /etc. You can also save the CCcam binary fron /usr/softcams and restore it after the flash if you don't want to reinstall CCcam

no idea if relevent think i heard someone mentioned losing config file, can you use filezilla or some program to check files on box?

saving files

Okay,

i have saved to my desktop

var/keys/mg_cfg
var/keys/newcamd.list
var/softcam/CCcam
var/softcam/mgcamd_138
etc/CCcam.cfg

Is that all covered, I need to keep the reset up as easy as possible as I could not set the solo2 up by myself the first time.

So copy and pasting will work the best for me.

Should I save more files?

Also should I disconnect the HDD when moving to a reinstal

the path for your softcams should be /usr/softcams & /var/keys/ is a symlink to /usr/keys/

I'd just create a folder called Solo2 on your desktop & in that folder, backup up
/usr/keys/
/usr/softcams/
/etc/CCcam.cfg
/picon/

Then all can be up and running besides various other settings quite fast after a fresh reflash.

Hi

Check your card entitlements make sure they have been updated mine are showing ok to december so yours should be the same. Also in the .cfg file make sure your boxkey is correct.

how do you check card entitlements?

the cfg file has the correct info in it

I cant see a picons folder to copy, where is it located?

thanks

Blue button -> CCam info -> Entitlements.
Picons are where you stored them...
