Hoping somebody can sort me out... my head is hurting!!!

CCCAM keeps dropping my S*y card (local card) - White card in the box.
Everything is running ok & then it just stops.
If you access the CCCAM during a blackout it shows no entitlements & the message "No or unknown card inserted" appears.
I have tried using different versions of CCCAM no luck.
Making watching premium channels impossible.

I then tried to re-flash the box with the latest image & start again. But that is not working now either!
I have plugged the USB in the front & rear of the box (containing Vu Plus folder), box just boots normally & loads the already installed image.
Tried using Image manager but it just crashes!

Basically. I'm having a lot of problems.

Where do I start. Just want to get things running smoothly again!

Hi

did you in your CCcam config file put the boxkey number of your card it maybe ok when viewing a fta channel but when you change to an encrypted channel it maybe cannot clear due to missing boxkey.

Thanks for the reply.
No. Think you misunderstand. Encrypted channels work fine for a few minutes then I have a glitch or blackout. Then it works again.
It is happening every 10 minutes or so.. more frequent on other channels

Have you tried disabling cam check.

Yes. Same problem. With or without cam check.

I have it on again at the moment

Checked the log...

2013-12-27 17:01: CCcam.2.3.0 running OK
2013-12-27 17:01: Webinfo info not allowed, can not check if frozen,
please enable 'ALLOW WEBINFO: YES'

I have already added...
ALLOW TELNETINFO: YES
ALLOW WEBINFO: YES

... as the first 2 lines of the config file (cccam.cfg)
This message is still coming up?

try adding them with notepad++++ and not windows notepad as it does some times cause problems and change case to lower like this

ALLOW TELNETINFO: yes
ALLOW WEBINFO: yes

Ok. The check is working now.
Here is the log...

2013-12-28 12:23: Timer Check Enabled
2013-12-28 12:23: CCcam.2.3.0 running OK
2013-12-28 12:23: CCcam.2.3.0 is responding like it should
2013-12-28 12:29: Timer Check Enabled

It doesn't really help though. I lost the card again for around 30 secs at 12:27.

Post up your full CFG file with personal info removed.

This has the characteristics of an hardware problem not a software/firmware problem.

Could be a card that has been warped by heat and loses contact with the VU+ card reader, or simply a hardware fault with the VU+ Duo.

If you have access to another enigma2 box try your card in that. Otherwise - if your card does look warped try inserting it with a thin card backing.

Sure it is not a problem with the cfg file. (same one I have had working fine for a couple of years).
The details (e.g. box key) are all correct as it is accessing premium channels using my card.
It just stops working after a while & then starts again.

I don't think it is a warped card. The card looks fine to be honest. It is a possibility though.
I think it is most likely the box or software (some sort of glitch caused by installing/removing various plugins possibly?)
I have altered the cfg file to use the other slot (/dev/sci1)... I'll see if that works.

I want to re-flash with a fresh Vix install but for some reason I can't seem to get it to boot the image/install from USB stick.

Thanks for the replies... much appreciated.

for flashing USB you need to push the stop button on the front.Made the same mistake when I just had the box.

Not with the Duo you dont.

ok mate maybe look at doing this first of all with usb update - reflash make sure you have compatable usb stick that you have maybe used top flash in the past and format fat32 and make the folders and insert the files see proceedure topic on forum if not sure. make sure you have disconnected any internal hdd if fitted and only use the usb stick with the new flash in the front of the duo remove any other you may have in rear for picons.
follow the install proceedure hopefully your get the box to flash, I would then proceed to do a fresh install without recovering settings or plugins and make sure your box works ok then set about rebuilding addons etc.

now i have experienced something like what you mentioned regarding the card on my solo today in the end i changed the CCcam to 2.30 version also if apart from your local card you have CS channels I would in the C line of them cards block 0963 being recevied from them servers as i found one problem was cccam switching between servers and this maybe causing your problems it seems to have resolved mine now Cccam is allowing only my local card ... has stopped the odd time but nothing like it was before i made the change

Looks like you were on the money. Switched to the other card slot & not had another glitch upto now. Fingers crossed that solves it for another couple of years use!

satmanbasil - I'm gonna pick up a new USB... one I have is pretty old. Give that a go with the steps you outlined above.

Couple of other glitches I have experienced with Vix I hope to solve as well by a new install:

Short Green button no longer opens timers for some reason & I am having a wierd situation where the USB & HDD are both mounted as the hard drive after a reboot sometimes.

Not sure if these bugs are known?

Thanks for the help!!! Happy New year!
