VIX Team Vu Duo Image v1.2 - 01/11/2010

Updated to VIX 1.2 and I'm very pleased wit the new image. But I have found two problems in the Bouquets view (pressing up/down key):

1. When recording a program on one tuner and trying to zap to another channel, the Bouquets view used to gray out the channels not possible to view in VIX 1.1. Now all channels are possible to select and after the channel is selected you get an error message "No tuner is available" instead. Is it a bug or a new feature/setting?

2. The label of the selected channel in the list is drawn in light gray with shadows and it's impossible to read the label. In the screen shot of the first post in this thread the label is drawn in black. Maybe it's a setting I've missed? Also I don't get the time bar in the screen shot. Just the channel number and channel name.

I really did like this image, despite alle the small bugs. It's just showing the ambitions of it's creator, right..? Only.., I need gbox to use it, as I have three cards, and two of them need to be in the card-slots. The only EMU I've tried which could read both these cards, is gbox. As you probably can understand; I'm almost sleepless waiting for the update, making gbox run properly. Can anyone tell me when it's due..? Is it possible to release a gbox-fix previous to the major fix, or can anyone tell me how to fix it manually..? All help is good help.

Yes, we've noticed this. Just a skin issue. When you put the curser over it channel, you will be able to tell which channel is available or not by the colour of the main text (black = available, grey = unavailable). An update will be pushed out at some point...

I imagine that oscam would be able to read those cards perfectly... What cards are they? As from what I've tried, oscam has been able to read almost all cards!

I don't know oscam at all, but if it is similar to gbox, it might work. The cards are two conax, and one NDS.

I would say that oscam is likely to be able to read those cards. It's just quite difficult to set up compared to cccam et al...

Great! I noticed that the bad contrast of the selected label is only when no tuner is available to show the channel - if a tuner is available, the label is black as expected. I just have to restrain myself from pressing "ok" when I can't read read the label...

Ahh maybe that will be my next stop then ? I will try that later today once i have backed up everything.

Ok finally got around to re flashing via USB, done all updates online after USB flash (never bothered to initialize the HD) and all glitching has now stopped ?? I would recommend a USB upgrade from now on as my original Online update went absolutely fine from 1.1 but as we now know I had the glitching error BUT now after a re-flash its gone completely ! NOW I CAN SAY THIS IMAGE IS 100% FINE FOR ME.

strange, why are some users seeing cccam 30 minute restarts while others seem to be unaffected. i did update using software update and via usb update from scratch and still had same problem?

TELNETINFO LISTEN PORT : 16000
WEBINFO LISTEN PORT : 16001
this was not an issue on vix 1.1. strange that many users don't seem to have any such issue on 1.2. have years of experience in linux so if i can supply any information i will do so. however all files used on 1.1 have been used in 1.2 without alteration????

Just one question how can I enable Cool EPG to get the view with the information about the program you are currently wating above the epg? and alos make the red button be channel info not IMDB? Basicly I would like my epg to look like the picture in this post called cool epg. Oh and how can I stop a scheduled recording while it is in progress?

Thing is, the way that the softcam works has been completely re-written for 1.2 against 1.1. So, the fact that you never had any problems in 1.1 doesn't matter, as the 1.2 softcam works completely differently to 1.1... Hence why andy would like a copy of your cccam.cfg... If you just delete all c/f lines, and xx xx xx xx xx your boxkey, then there shouldn't be anything to worry about

Best to upload it to somewhere and then pm the link to andy...

Well guys i've finally taken the plunge and gone from my beloved 1.3.3 de image to the vix and what can i say ?

Just one question ,is there any cams installed and if so how do i get to them ?
I've got to go out soon and i don't want the mrs moaning at me ( i know i should have installed it Tommorow lol )

I just upgraded to VIX 1.2 first via Internet and next via USB and have problem starting up. First I made backup via DreamBoxEdit 4, so I had all settings.
After upgrading, it wont start up, and stop in "Starting Enigma 2... VIX 1.2".
Although it is not fully started, I was able to enter menu to make network settings and restore settings and channels from DreamBoxEdit.

All chanels and settings seems to be OK, but it still stands in "Starting Enigma 2... VIX 1.2" screen. The only thing there is beon that is som subtitles
from the chosen chanel - no picture. What can I do?

Can you tell me how to get VIX 1.2 started?

I have updated my VU+Duo with this image online and via USB and although it appears fine, I am unable to access the softcam setup without the box crashing and rebooting. It was running fine with the old version & CCcam. How do I remove softcam and/or install CCcam ?
