I have a gigablue 800 se+ running twin tuners from octo lnb and 60cm fixed dish. When running openmips I eventually got the twin tuners working (I could watch encrypted channel and record another) by setting tuner a to diseqc=yes.

I recently flashed the new vix image and cant sort out my twin tuners... I can record encrypted channel and watch the free channels only. I've fiddled abiut with the diseqc tuner settings for a and b to no avail.

Can anyone shed any light on it?

[STRIKE]There shouldn't be a need to have diseqc settings.[/STRIKE]

It should be simple, single, whatever satellite your dish is aligned to. You may have to set send diseqc to yes owing to driver issue.

Post tuner config for each tuner please.

Tuner config for both is simple, single, 28.2. As I said earlier, I tried all the diseqc combos (No/No, Yes/No etc) but none worked

If using CCcam ensure you use 2.3.

Thanks Sicilian.

I'm using 2.2.1. I tried to install later version but got errors (saved later version ipk to tmp folder, stopped cccam, installed local extension but this generated errors ... file already exists .. or words to that affect).

remove the previous version of CCcam first.

If you have not already done so, get the CCcam ipk from openvix.co.uk there is a softcam folder.

If you disable one tuner at a time do channels work on the remaining tuner?

I haven't disabled either tuner but I have modified preferences (Auto, Tuner A, Tuner B) and it will use A/B as set in preferences and encrypted channels work ok. Will try the upgrade to 2.30 this evening. Thanks to all.

Thanks Abu. I eventually got it sorted but hit a few more hurdles along the way as follows:

1 - I initially got errors when trying to install 2.3 because some of the files already existed so the install failed. I removed/renamed the files and the install ran ok.
2 - Being a twit I didn't realise that my CCcam.cfg file would be overwritten so I had to fix that
3 - Some channels showed as grey when I started recording .... not sure what the problem was ... so I updated my sats.xml and rescanned Tuner A and B and....
Now I can at last record one encrypted channel and watch another encrypted channel.

Does my wife care? Absolutely NOT - she hates me and my beautiful new Gigablue box .. Ah well!!!

BTW thanks again to Abu and Sicilian
