[VU+ Uno] Unable to exit PTS

Previously I was able to exit time shift by pressing the stop button, when you do this now though it just seems to seek to the very end of the recording and stops/starts constantly.

Below taken from logs, not sure if this is what is relevant.

Happens at any point. Can be as little as 1 min or has happened when up to 20 mind. I have to change channel and then return in order to exit time shift.

Just checked here using Solo2, Zeus 008. Rewound 1/2 an hour of live TV, played for 10 mins, press stop & PTS exits perfectly.
Don't currently have an Uno or Duo to test on though...

And location is indeed setup to /media/hdd/timeshift/ ?

If both answers are 'yes' there might be a file corrupted. Please delete manually all files in /media/hdd/timeshift/ (while not in timeshift, so e.g. during playback of a recording) and see how you go from there.

PTS works fine for the most part, I sometimes have an issue when pressing 9 button to skip forward and it bugs out but this was the same in Vix 3.

The way I got the issue to occur was by simply pressing pause, waiting around 10 seconds, press play, wait another 10 seconds, then press stop.

I left the location as default but I will confirm when I get back from work today, this issue also occurred on my Dads Ultimo immediately after flashing Zeus, it was the first thing I checked on there.

I can concur running Vix Zeus 008 on my duo, when in timeshift. I press the stop button it returns to live broadcast, but when I go to change channel it still says I'm in timeshift, and it won't let me change until you tell it to stop recording and zap.

I have done instructions from earlier post of deleting contents of timeshift folder whilst not in live tv.

What are your timeshift settings?

Show warning when stopped- yes
Timeshift save action on zap- ask user
Stop timeshift while recording- no
Use timeshift seek bar while timeshifting- yes

that is correct, once you enter TS, and then try to change you are asked what you want to do with the current TS.

no, PTS is NEVER off, you can't stop it, just go to live point. and once you enter TS you are warned you have been in TS and asked what you want to do with current files.

The issue with mine is not the fact that it asks you whether to exit PTS, as I have it set up not to ask.

I understand what you are saying but I think you miss my point, when I have activated the timeshift and watch for a set period of time...... the programme then goes to an advert so I have caught up. I decide to stop the timeshift so that I an back in real time (so timeshift is always still running in background just not now active) but infact, when I check, it is still active and I am always 1 or 2 seconds from end of seek bar. Shown on info bar.

Thus it will not automatically let me change channel if I want.
If I change setting to no, for show warning when stopped. It lets me change channel automatically which is what I think should happen, but if I am recording from timeshift and I go to change channel with this setting still set to no, it changes and the recording fails, which is not what is wanted.

I hope this makes more sense!

Just like to add, when recording pts then zap to new channel, select option to continue recording........at end of recording it is failing to merge the 2 files correctly. I am left with one file that states it is 0.00 in length. It plays but not from the beginning of the timeshift recording it is from point that i zapped the channel over where it has started recording on hdd, I'm unable to fast forward or rewind also, it just goes back to beginning of recording

Ok so I took these steps and it's still the same I'm afraid

Then I'm out of ideas. I tried and retried to reproduce any issue, but I can't.

Alright hopefully somebody else will be able to reproduce the issue, I know it can't just be my setup as I see the same problem on my dads ultimo.
