Hey guys, just this minute registered and a total noob so be kind :wave:

I just bought a Vu+Duo2 and in the process of getting it set up.

Just came online to find the blackhole image and came across this site so thought I'd join up.

Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated!

Agreed used black hole for less than a day, changed to Vix and haven't looked back!

Thanks guys! Great advice already! So I already downloaded the latest Vix stuffit file and expanded it. I navigated to the vuplus folder than the duo2 folder and 6 files in that folder.
Do I just copy the files as is or do I copy the duo2 folder with the files inside?

Just fitted the hard drive so ready for flashing now and really want to get it right.
Once again, your help is appreciated. :thumbsup:

Copy everything onto usb stick, as is after extraction

Copy the vuplus folder onto a USB stick turn the duo2 off then insert the USB stick and turn the duo2 back on. On the display it will ask you to press the start button do so and it will do the rest when the unit starts rebooting remove the USB stick and follow the wizard.

Thanks again. Seems pretty simple now I know what folders to copy to the usb drive. Just about to go for it. I'll let you know how I get on.

dont forget to initialize the hard drive once flashed.

also click on the quick support menu and click vix guide this will help you set up the box, then click new box setup

It's no biggy, but actually I would power up using stock image initialize hdd, then power down and flash.
