[XP1000] Quite new to this - Should i upgrade to Helios

[ruudy]

Hello, i'm quite new to this and recently got my box and set it up.

I see today that there is a helios image available. I wondering whether i should update to this? If so is there any easy way to keep all my settings so that its a simlle case of writing a new image only?

Also i noticed recently that my ondemand plugin stopped working, i thought at the time that installing tsmedia caused the problem but with tsmedia uninstalled the problem pesists. Could this be anything to do with zeus being an old image?

Thanks all.

If you are on Zeus, do a backup, then update to Helios and you can restore the settings from your Zeus image.
I have on demand and tsmedia installed on my sf8, both working great.

Others might be able to help but before you do the backup maybe uninstall ondemand and tsmedia then reinstall them on Helios once you have restored settings.

Both already uninstalled because of the problems.

Probably a silly question but what files need backed up? Is there an easy way of backing up all i need?

Setup, vix, backup manager, green for new backup and yellow to restore later

Is there any noticeable improvements with it?

Nothing too significant. Helios line will provide future enhancements / bug fixes that you won't get on Zeus.
