Hi, I just bought a Miraclebox premium twin, half way through setting it up the OK button stopped working. I powered down and rebooted and it worked for a short time and stopped again, the menu button has stopped now too, any ideas?

It's a known issue with the latest drivers, should be fixed in the next release, Helios 018 upwards.

Cheers, I guess I just have to put up this for now, I really wish I didnt buy this poorly made, cheap looking piece of crap.

No receiver is immune to driver issues, not even the mighty Vu+ which has had several known driver faults all the way back to day one, as for cheap looking, I actually think the MB boxes look quite nice and certainly a lot better than most other E2 based offerings.

They do look nice...in the pictures but then you take it out of the box and see the cheap looking plastics, the display that looks like it comes from a 1980's alarm clock and it doesn't stop there, open it up and and you see they have bent the hd tray to make it fit, the on/off toggle switch presses up against componants and when you plug in the supplied WiFi adapter it blocks the second usb socket rendering it useless. It is also painfully slow, much slower than a vu duo. The remote has a nice feel to it though.

He he, cheers but I wouldn't wish this misfortune on anyone.

Think this is a matter of opinion. Personally I think the Miraclebox look quite stylish compared to the now dated VU+ Duo. Yes when fitting a 3.5" its quite compact, simple bend the SATA cable slightly or fit a 2.5" HDD, screwed to one side of the cradle, simple. The MB Premium is a faster higher spec than the Duo, it has same spec CPU, RAM and FLASH as the VU+ Ultimo.

Now going back to the issue in hand, simple replace the drivers in lib/module/3.6.0/extras

To replace the drivers do as follows: -

1) Extract the attached zip file.
2) FTP the dvb.ko file to lib/module/3.6.0/extras overwriting the existing.
3) Reboot the receiver, hold down standby button on the remote and select restart on TV.
4) Once rebooted the unit will work as required.

Sounds daft but I'm no expert in IT so was wondering if someone could explain how you do an FTP for these drivers. I'm a newbie trying to set up my MB Premium Twin HD and have the same remote control issues.
