[VU+ Solo2] Audio droputs over SPDIF

I seem to have a problem with sound via the SPDIF outlet, and it goes back over all the Apollo versions. In brief, my Onkyo is connected to the VU+ by Optical SPDIF and to the TV via HDMI, and the TV sound is fine whatever the audio stream or audio setting I use on the Solo2, - the TV is PCM only so downmixing must be working ok. Unfortunately the exact opposite happens with the Onkyo, whatever settings I use or audio stream is involved the sound via Optical drops out randomly complete with annoying clicks.

As a test I installed the latest official 2.1 image from VUPlus themselves and the sound was perfect and stable with both the Onkyo and TV.

Curious - why don't you go VU hdmi -> Onkyo hdmi -> Samsung I have 3 systems (with Xtrend) going thru Onkyo receivers this way without problems both video and audio via hdmi

I notice that you have done a settings Restore Apollo 25 should be a Clean Install with no back up settings loaded in

Curious - why don't you go VU hdmi -> Onkyo hdmi -> Samsung I have 3 systems (with Xtrend) going thru Onkyo receivers this way without problems both video and audio via hdmi

Unfortunately my Onko doesn't have power-off HDMI passthrough so it would have to be switched on all the time and add to the bills. Anyway I only use it for things like BBC4 HD AC3 concerts etc, and that goes down the optical nicely.

Yes, but if you check you will also see I tried a Flash without restore and it made no difference, lots of drop outs that didn't happen with the OEM software.
