Hi guys,

I have set a power timer to shut down the box during the night. This works ok if it is just the tv that is being watched at the time but if there is a recording playing it does not work. When i come out of movie selection it then gives a window asking if i want to shut down.

Is there any way to disable this so it can power down the box regardles of what is being watched?

Cheers.

Power timer will not put box into deep standby whilst a recording is running, it will wait for the recording to finish before goibg into DSB

Thanks for the reply.

There isnt a recording on at the time of the power timer.

There is just a video playing from the sat box or my NAS

Presumably the logic is that you are actually watching the recording and don't want the box to shut down? It's not the same as just walking away while a TV programme is playing. I use a powertimer to put the box in deep standby after 10 mins but only if the box is in standby already. This means I just hit the power off on the remote and the power timer will take care of the full shutdown. If an actual recording is in progress it will still go into standby, but not deep standby until the recording is finished.

Thanks, that makes sense :)
It would be good for me if it could power down while a recording is being played. I have a box in my bedroom and i would like the box to power down if i fall asleep
