Hi,

Since the clocks went back the other day I am seeing issues with some channels showing the programs being
an hour out in the channel list.

My saved timer recordings are also an hour out and are recording what it thinks is the same program twice when it is
only the second recording that is correct.

EPG seems to be fine. Anyone else experiencing similar issues?

Thanks

What does your box time say?

Easiest is to delete it all and reset up

time is set to GMT London....etc
didnt have any issues last year when running openvix 3 something

Make sure it's pool.ntp in system and time settings.

Tins of AT and not had any issues other then 3 which were repeats and could have been a pooling issue gone awry and timer was not updated with change in schedule.

Not sure if related but I have a timer setup for 8 out if 10 cats on Monday. This has been OK but this week it record 3 hours instead of 1! I only noticed as the file size is 90gb! Also duration time is displayed as "?".

I noticed it too, especially on Autotimer results.
However, I think it has to do with the EPG-times, as they load a week in advance, I noticed that this week there were problems with the times (starting an hour early as it found the "original" times (pre wintertime) AND the new ones.
I expect that from coming Sunday / Monday there should be no problems anymore.

EPG times are always set to UTC (=GMT) and there should be no issues switching between summertime and wintertime providing the network provider (either satellite or terrestrial) puts the time of switch correctly into the data streams (and they certainly do so for SKY/Freesat and Freeview). I have about 12 autotimers set between terrestrial and satellite with some of them being set from last week into this week and all of them have worked flawlessly over the transition to winter time. The only thing I can think of is that you have set your box to use NTP and have not had a proper network connection over the transition to wintertime.

Time is set by transponder and is set to GMT on my Quad+.

Its not a biggy, reckon it was a 1 off!

Cheers

There are more possible issues.
Depending on the source the epg-data (open-TV/EIT/XMLTV/etc) may have wrong times (summertime), and on updating EPG not all data will be overwritten but sometimes 'new' data is added. This can easily lead to wrong and/or double entries.

So yes: switching from and to DST still has all the options for issues.

It happened again this week, 8 out of 10 cats recorded 90gb!!. Timers all look ok, think I will reset the timer to see what happens.

A 90GB recording suggests something seriously wrong on your box timers.
Can you post screenshots of your timer screens?
Does anyone else have access to the box? opened any ports to external access?

Added Pic of recordings, as u can see top right 90282MB!!

Presume a phone pic? Phones can take proper screenshots too & are a lot easier to read.
Please do a forum search on the term grab.
If you have WebIF opened on a public network, you can expect all sorts of external issues.

My issue in the original post has sorted itself out now.
Seems like it will dual record programs etc... for about a week after the clocks change.

That is very well possible; after switching time the EPG data has entered new events and not overwritten the existing ones.
