[VU+ Solo2] VIX HD 77 - tsmedia install error

guys first time installing VIX HD, I get an error when installing tsmedia 7.95 [latest] which works fine on my duo [BH2.1.1] & Solo [apollo VIX71].

Collected errors:
*satisfy_dependencies_for:cannot satisfy the following dependencies for enigma 2-plugin-extensions-tsmedia-oe2.0:
* Python-pycrypto *
*opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package enigma2-plugin-extensions-tsmedia-oe2.0.

if you read up about the hd image it does say that plugins wont work with it unless they are skinned to 1080 so stick to the normal image if i was you if you want to use plugins with it

no youve read wrong.

this error has nothing to do with the skin.

i use the hd image with plugins, works fine.

thasnk both. it could be this specific pulig may not have 1080 skin yes. I wil have to wait

@rossi - have u install and using tsmedia or are you generalising?

but the fact that your getting that issue isnt related to the skin at all.

its a missing module of some sort, i dont know why its throwing that error on vix-hd

Working ok with Vix 77 (normal) on mine. Not used HD version.

i have used it, thats how i know.

just because i said its rubbish doenst mean i dont respect your efforts. this is just my opinion.

i came to this conclusion when the content didnt meet my needs. "you cant please everyone"

why does TSmedia always get a bad rap from people that write Vix? its a great plugin imho.
Why can't the anti-tsmedia brigade tell mfaraj whats so bad about the program in regards to Vix so it can be worked on to be more vix friendly?

You may find it great but as it produces a lot of illegal contents I do not.

I personally don't use it, I tried it when I first got my solo2 and it regularly crashed or boot looped my box, IMO there is too much going on with it, keep it simple, you want an all dancing and singing media player, build yourself a powerful kodi (xbmc) system, I did.

Exactly. No STB is or will ever be a full media player. All media player functionality is a bonus.

Having said that: many people do use an STB as such, and they are happy with it because they recode all files using the H264 codec.

Rossi is right though, tsMedia is Rubbish and they were responsible for another piece of crap, tsPanel. These programs messes your system files up so we avoid!!

Load of old Bollox, been using tsPanel and tsMedia on multiple boxes for years and never had any problems. TsPanel may overwrite some files but that's never caused me any issues

Take my word for it: TS-Panel does cause issues. Weather you noticed them or not is a different matter.
A plugin overwriting system files is not a plugin, but an image destroyer. A piece of crap that should never have been released, and that no decent plugin author would ever think of creating.
No bollox involved; please think before writing.

TS-Media does not do such a thing, but it brings you illegal contents.

We thoroughly tested TSpanel in ViX and it caused untold number of problems within the image, it's a badly coded piece of excrement in my opinion and has no place in ViX. The only reason I believe it is popular is because the vast amount of it's users are either lazy and cant be bothered to source their own plugins or because they simply dont know any better. If i had my own way we would code the image in such a way as to prevent this plugin ever working in ViX but thats just my opinion.
