Hi there,

On VU+Duo Apollo 90 build with IIRC TS-Media v7.95.
This has been working OK until a few days back.
So I have used this version of TSMedia on this version of apollo

This morning The TSMedia splash screen pops up - then nothing.
Tried several times - same result.
Tried rebooting the box - same result.

Tried to upgrade to newer apollo build - says there is nothing to upgrade - odd.
Tried to remove and reinstall TSMedia - won't uninstall.

So is this an issue with TSMedia or Apollo?

I have seen the recent posts about the author of TSMedia wanting to pull support of the plugin due to a falling out with a couple of the mods. So is that it, or is it the build?

TSMedia works fine on my Solo2 using build 090 and my online upgrade today to 097.

Have you tried removing the plugin and rebooting and installing it again (you obviously have to note any proxy address you may be using).

The author is still supporting TSMedia on Vix. It was a misunderstanding or something and it's sorted he posted in another thread on here.

Thanks for that info mate.

OK, just checked and it appears I am running from an Apollo HD build - build 90 in this case, recently online updated from build 80
So might that be the issue?
Looking at the image download pages for the Duo the last HD build is 90, whereas the non HD is build 96.

Whats the difference? I stupidly thought HD was better than non HD, when I put build 80 on it.
Is HD version non supported now?

the separate HD image has now been merged into the normal image, so no need to maintain 2 images.

the HD skins are in the feeds in the skins1080 section now

Hd version was built for he 1080p skins but these are now integrated into standard vix hence no more hd builds.

OK, Thanks. So have rebuilt with build 96 from the image download site.
All looks OK..........................................until I upgrade TSMedia
It upgrades to 7.96.....and I get the original issue. TSMedia popup....then nothing.
TSMedia latest version does not work on latest versions of Apollo, or that is what I am finding with my Duo.

Can someone please check this.

So has the TSMedia author now pulled the plug?

Just tried it on my solo2 apollo 090 and same as explained in post #1. "The TSMedia splash screen pops up - then nothing." Hopefully it's just a temporary thing.

I have been having similar problems install and upgrade problems with TSMedia 7.9 on a Technomate Nano T3, with vix Apollo 96,

I managed to uninstall and reinstall 7.9, but settings not showing up and crashing with some key error and also having lots of addon errors:

I was just a temporary thing. It's working OK again now.

And it's stop working again.
I can only guess that maybe there is some maintenance going on.

Well maybe, but I think its the plugin - After all I have v7.9_full working fine on all Apollo builds. Its just v7.96 that is busted.

I did have problems with the latest version that I upgraded to from within TSMedia so I just kept with the version from the feeds which works fine now.

Build 097 apollo has caused this tsmedia issue for me aswell now...previous versions of apollo ie 096 were fine with tsmedia7.98

I am having similar problem with ts media, on Apollo 90HD. Last night it was working fine. Today when I try the screen pops up and then disappears and goes back to menu page

regards

If you use, for the time being, the version of TSMedia available from the feeds (without doing a update of tsmedia from within tsmedia) then you should be ok. Well I am, anyhow.

Yea it worked for me too. Thanks

i had the same problem, on vixhd 064 and later upgraded to 090...where ts media just flashed up on screen, also it happened with Yamp music player..I reflashed with with the current openmips 4.2 image and Yamp music player worked straight away but ts media (7.9) from the openmips feeds had the same problem..Found a ipk for tsmedia 7.8 and installed that which now works fine

Just found this http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?42239-TSmedia&p=327475&viewfull=1#post327475

This would explain why tsmedia is not working properly with vix... looks like the author of the plugin is a tad upset and wont be supporting it with future updates...not good.

Does,nt make sense to slag anyones work as look what has happened now.

That issue was resolved with the author, this current issue has been reported by multiple users on a selection of images old and new with various versions of TSmedia on various forums and seems to be affecting mainly British ISP users.

If you want to wind people up trolling the forum go else where.

The author did respond later in another thread to say problems were sorted, just a misunderstanding or something hence why TSmedia is still available via feeds and this version works fine for me.

It was only when I updated tsmedia from within tsmedia did I discover errors with plugins, etc. Whether this was related to just those running Vix I don't know but at a guess it may have caused problems for OpenATV as both Vix and OpenATV use the same OE-A core.

UPDATE: Pheonix has mentioned it has been reported on several other images both new and old.
