Maybe so, but I've never experienced it before. Just tried once more to create a swapfile on a USB-stick, but it ended in a green screen. Has any of you guys created a swap on a USB, in this image..? I mean, with a fresh USB-stick..?

that's the automount bug, i thought had fixed that, sorry to ask but just want to make sure did you do a update before you add the network mount ?

Code:

No sir, this was an attempt without updating first, as I also got in trouble when I downloaded the updates first. I think I posted a log for it as well. I really don't understand what's going on, but I'm trying "everything" for the moment... Worst of all, I am supposed to wake up in a few hours...

It takes "forever" when the swap-file is prepared on the USB. I've tried with two different sticks, same result though. Maybe it's just as good to create the swap on the HDD?

if you can sucesfully create it on hdd then do it on that

i had this problem before but for the life of me can't remeber how i fixed it

If you have problem creating a swap, eg takes forever, then it comes from your stick. I had exactly the same problem with all the cheap sticks I had at home. Bought a corsair 8gb and swap files gets created in 10 secs or even less. I also timeshift on it and no issue even on HD channels. I would start there.

Hope this helps.

One of them is a noname-freebie from somewhre, the other one is a 4GB, which I can't remember the name of. I also have a third one from Verbatim, also on 4GB. I will try this one later this evening.

By the way, they all work just great for other purposes, flashing the Vu is one of them. :)

Registred the very same thing yesterday, on a newly formated stick.

It took me between one hour, and one hour and a half, to create a 96MB swap in Vix 1.3. A user in a Norwegian forum, reported that it took about two hours for him to create a 256MB file in BH 1.3.9. Of course, if the file is already there, it takes only a few seconds for a new image to reckognise it, but it sure took a while to create it from scratch. ;)

Hi guys..

Your box is going for its nightly shut-down ..
Do you want to allow this..

Please can anyone explain how to turn this off.. ??

Thanks guys..

I'm just about to follow Palinkat's advice, and give it another go using a better stick. The first one is a no-name stick, with only 256MB capasity. The next one out, is from Verbatim, and it is on 4GB. Hopefully there's a difference between these two sticks. Time will tell... ;)

And yes, everything seems to run just fine. :) By the way; is it possible to read the temperature and status of the Vu, in any plugin/addon? I think this feature was present in BH 1.3.3, but I don't know if it was a plugin.

not seen a temp plugin but if you know the name you can check it in the repo or get it and manual instal

if you manual instal and it works tell us so we can add it to repo

Just wanted to say thanks for this image and the site in general!! Got my vu+ duo box today and within a couple of hours it is up and fully running!! Way better than my old dm800!
Keep up the good work guys!!

Doesn't the sherlock plugin do this?! Or maybe even the glassutil plugin?!

I think the only temp info it gives you is the temp of the hdd though...

Hi Thanks for the fantastic Image.

While in the EPG is there an easy way to change to a different bouquet?

In VIX 1.2 I was able to change the function of the coloured buttons and set one to be favourites but I cant find how to do this in VIX 1.3.

Thanks for your help

you can go back to th e1.2 functions of long press ok via the vix menu

Thanks for the reply Silverfox.

I just changed the function of the EPG button under the VIX menu, the box then restarted and now gets stuck on the loading enigma 2 page with the vix wait icon turning over and over again.

I think I will need to re-flash to fix this.

Is the fix for the bouquets to change the type of EPG program from the VIX EPG to Cool EPG?

Hi mate
To change bouquets while in vix epg guide you simply use the channel +/- keys
