are the latest images getting bigger for the box to handle as remote and reboot still leaves it spinning,had kodi and tsmedia on box and message error on kodi no space is that on flash ?
had the same issue on last 4 images thinking a reflash would fix it and did,could the samba and nfs issues have an added effect on box,need to see if i can get image and logs to post.have swapfile on usb and abm and epg,back later with more info.
unsure if its a bug or box not upto the task with all new stuff

I think you hit the nail on the head mate when you mentioned if the solo was up to the job as it probably dose not have enough grunt to run the newer stuff

so maybe an upgrade is needed the LX3 is a great box

update on apollo 127,logs were not enabled,but are now but blank damn,swap file was inactive,now active memory total 99.3 and free 37.4

LX3 hmm or maybe a zgemma,think pheonix loves them

I find it better to save logs to the Hard Drive if you have one set up that way if you have a crash the logs will not get wiped

it defiantly looks like you are running out of memory mate and I presume that you already have the largest swap file set up

no hard drive and max swap file,twin sat is off no use as only single feed,combo nah got 3 of them 2 not in use yet

These old 333MHz receivers are really stuggling with upto date images, in all honestly I think we may need to drop support for them. VU+ Solo, GB Solo, GB800SE and GB800UE, all old 333MHz with low ram etc...there may come a time in the near future that we cease support for them.

Part of the reason why we purposely removed Samba and NFS from the image for all receivers was because of the added size to the image, you also have to remember the Solo and Duo are coming up on 5 years old and at some stage you will just have to accept that they are not up to the task of running the same plugins etc as the more modern boxes.

Do you really need Kodi Direct, TS Media, Samba & NFS all on the same box old generation box?
Also, why Samba & NFS? are you also installing Samba server & client?

Overloading any box will result in spinners.

Old Duo is still running ok imo, but the old 333MHz are really too slow, played around with an old Solo other, couldn't even get it to complete an EPG import.

At the moment its just concerns with how the old hardware handles new software, no decisions have been made yet.

ah cheers not used samba on the solo but big boss said use nfs which did work on my duo with internal hdd recordings and now stopped as i added a belkin wifi g router and got logged out hahaha,would that include max 1000hd also.

so my little fiat 500 wont climb the steep hill,hmm not going for a bmw as they cant climb either in icy conditions, any good new single tuner boxes
for sat and cable not combos?

might try a reflash and leave kodi and tsmedia off it and see what gives,if the worst happens got a nice freesat box lol added to collection.

For satellite only there is the Vu+ Zero or the TM Nano SE both are around £100 ( the sponsor is doing a fiver off the Nano until the 6th of Feb if memory serves).

or you could look at the Solo SE with it's single inter changeable tuner slot if you want cable
