This problem I'm experiencing isn't just with mgcamd but also cccam, for anyone that wants to say use oscam & not cccam my server runs latest oscam, my local boxes running ether cccam or mgcamd is suffering from disconnects is there possibility a bug in hades?

Only way to get back on is reboot

I am running Hades15 with no issues with mgcamd 1.38 .

check it for what? this has been happening since coming onto hades

Christian tendencies! , Just kidding, I'm new and have only been using hades but initially I had a problem with the log sections, the mg_cfg file was trying to log information to non local IP address so I went through it and made sure everything was how I wanted it to be.
I've not had a problem since.

Hades is using a newer OE core, hence the name change.
Neither mgcamd or cccam have been updated in a long time so may get less stable over time. Saying that, not many users are complaining of this issue though.
Are you sure it's not a setting on your oscam server that's dropping the connections?
Not what you want to hear, but as you're using oscam on your main box, why not use it on the other boxes too?

I too have not noticed a problem with my softcam and I use mgcamd.

Thanks mate I know what i'm doing with configs
I can't really compare as I only use the box 2-3 hours a day and then effectively reboot, are you saying mgcamd stops? so if press blue button and softcam then you have the option to start it? or does it show as running but no longer works? what happens if you choose to restart softcam?

Personally if i were having this issue and depending on how I answered the previous questions, I would enable logging in the mg_cfg file and also enable debugging on the box and then when it fails, search the logs for more information.

same thing happens here too, mgcamd 1.38 stops randomly a few times a day.
blue button>softcam manager>restart gets it going again.
never experienced the problem with apollo when using Cccam or mgcamd 1.38

forgot to mention, it happens on both my vu solo2 and vu uno.
also sometimes i get picture with no sound, restarting cam fixes that too.

I had this problem for about a week, with my new nline (mgcamd 1.35)..... keep having to restart the cam.

I tried 4D open pli and this problem just disappeared.

Just tried OPEN ATV and it has the same problem.....having to restart the cam.

looks like open pli, has more support for cams.

Mgcamd 1.38 fails with me on a VU+ solo2 on Hades 16 after about 30 mins AND it then hangs my Asus router, which then requires a reboot.

Sounds like you're ddos'ing yourself with your Mgcamd config file.

You haven't got the logging feature on to an ip address within mg_cfg have you (the L: option) ?

Attached is my mg_cfg file and I haven't noticed any problems with 1.38 on my solo2.
View attachment mg_cfg.rar

If problem is after a few hours of continued watching a scrambled channel then maybe as i've watched films without problem but don't think i've constantly stayed on either the same channel or a scrambled channel for more than an hour or two.

youl need to slowly explain this one to the them as not many will understand it lol

by any chance do any of you have another cam installed on the same box as mgcamd?

What a complete load of donky d**k. No image has any more or any less support for cams than any other. Cams are developed and updated by third parties not image teams and never have been.
