Hi

I've just setup a new TM-Nano-SE combo which I received today but channels on certain transponders are getting tune failed or breaking up. I have done a automatic scan and only picking up 505 channels. Tried ABM and again certain channels are still coming up with tune failed. I've swapped it back to my VU solo and everything is working ok and scanning over 900 channels so this would rule out the dish!?

Is this a possible faulty receiver because I'm confused

Thanks

and you rechecked your settings are on 28.2 for scanning and f connector is good and secure?

Yep on 28.2 and cable is secure. Now I can get bbc one East Midlands but bbc two, itv, channel 4/5 and a whole lot of other channels are tune failed. Strange one working perfect on my solo

Are you testing with same cabling/LNB port for both the receivers?

Yep exactly the same just swapping the receiver over on the same cable/LNB port to test. I used abm which scans 515 channels but most channels are tune failed, tried rats bouquets and more channels are working then not.

Can you post a screenshot of sat finder for the ABM transponder using both receivers please? I would also suggest that you start off with no bouquets/lamedb on your receiver. There is a telnet command in guide in my signature.

Also, if you ahve a Sky quad LNB and there are other receivers connected to it, try switching off the other receivers at the mains. Then check the TM.

Also tried with turning off other receiver at mains and still no luck

Yes forgot to turn off my other receiver now everything is working, why would this be?

Sky Quad LNBs have this phenomenon. Octos don't apparently. May be new modern circuitry in the TM as compared to the solo

Ok so what options do I have to sort the issue? Changing the LNB to a octo?

*Update*

Sorted the issue it was a quad LNB J4LS at fault. I ordered it from eBay only a few months back and apparently they are sky rejects so be aware

Cheers
