Why? Downloading EPG to overwrite downloaded EPG seems a bit silly?

Well - because I set it like that while I was fiddling with it I guess. There doesn't appear to be any way with the UI to remove an OpenTV provider.

Just select it and the tick mark will toggle off or on again. Press green to save.

my mistake - I have no OpenTV providers activated (no tick by them). I'll just quietly go back to xmltv-importer

I have unticked everything then just ticked open tv 28.8. I hope this helps.

Thanks, but I need the xmltv sources as well (specifically France, Italy, Germany). I've gone back to using xmltv-importer, no hangs apart from the occasional enigma hang (interface becomes totally unresponsive but I can still SSH to the box) when fast-forwarding recordings from Canalsat. This doesn't happen with all recordings but if a recording exhibits this behaviour then I can reliably hang enigma by fiddling with fast-forward. init 4 init 3 sorts it out.

So still hung using cross with open tv. Disabled that now and selected xmltv importer with satman uk as source.
