Getting wierd error messages for the past couple of days. Get the online update check message when switching on in the morning. Get the other error message when trying to backup.

If I select install plugins get 'no new plugins. Can see box on windows network but unable to access any folders

Seems to indicate folders / directories not existing? Any ideas appreciated

Just use image manager and couch flash to Build 21. You can use a settings and plugins restore.

this is what I'm getting everytime no matter what vix image I'm suing that was with version 15

just want to add is it something to do with the online check upate. ive turned of background update check and seems to not be doing it now. bizarre thing is these images worked no issues ?... so why all off a sudden last day or so this all starts happening? really weird.

Ok def seems to fix all the problems if you turn off background check under > software update settings. change for yes to no and exit. all seems well. stopped crashing:)

Do a fresh flash with no restore of latest build 021, do not restore anything, setup fresh, no issue like that at all here on 4 receivers.

Hi Boss did update a fresh one. from usb. setup basic no plugins etc yet and if I leave the background software check at yes it will crash dump within 30 mins. If I turn that to (no) then everything is ok. its something to do with what the check is doing online?...>>

I've just once again fresh USB flashed a Duo2 with latest build 021. Once with Ethernet connection and once without, neither time got any error's. So anyone getting this advised to do the same or post some logs.

Updated clean to 21, set everything up from scratch not a backup. Working fine last night. Came to it this morning and got the online update error, had turned off background check for updates.

Have the following plugins installed;

Dreamplex
Cccam 2.3
Samba
Blue HD skin
Malimal motorised dish settings
Ran Autobouquets and Crossepg

It seems to work for a while, then after around half an hour it has it's issue.

Checked home/root/logs and it is empty. I'm not getting a crash, just the error box pop up. Then it disables certain items like download plugins and image backup

I had this problem. I online updated to b10 and then saw on forum there may be issues with that build. So I stayed with it as it seemed fine. I then didn't get update notification even though check every 6hrs and found I had missed some builds and latest was b15. So I flashed b15 and then got online update error so disabled the checking. I'm on build 20 now and have the update check set to 12hrs so hopefully skipping night time and no error so far. So maybe b10 did something with the hd in way of temp folder or permissions or something? Or at the time mentioned on forum that that the site would be up and down causing problem? So this is effecting people based on there update path?
I assume as GST version is unchanged that I can online update to b21?

im really baffled. ive re flashed to way back ver 005 ok. just did a scan and that's it. I never changed anything other than a simple scan. left on BBC1 and all seems ok. then 30 mins later the black screen with software error.. now whats more mental about this, is the fact that image was fine before. something is going on and it seems to be affecting more and more people daily.

I agree, though touch wood I'm not having problems at the moment..

Imo this is somekind of networking issue. I'd suggest powering off routers, closing any port forwarded ports. Re-flashing with ethernet disconnected. Reconnect once flashed and re-start network. If still getting an issue try using a network switch or another router.
