I have just updated the O/S to OpenVIX 4.2.026 on my MiracleBox Ultra Premium. The menu screens are now too wide and probably too high. I cannot find a way to adjust the width or left position.

My question is very simple and has most likely been raised and answered on this forum: How do I adjust the width and height settings ofr the menu, EPG, etc? I have tried adjusting the television's settings, but, this makes difference.

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

Richard Beilby.

or go into setting user interface, position setup

Thank you for your reply.

From what I can tell, this is only for the small information box that appears. I am meaning the settings, EPG, etc screens.

Thank you for your reply, Andy. I do recall there being a method to set the screen size when I originally set up the box about 2 years ago. The resizing of the screen output occurred when I updated OpenVIX today.

... am I right in saying you didn't do a settings restore?

EPG etc are changed as well.

EPG etc are changed as well.

This is the screen that come up with the "grid" with resolution, arrows the words "overscan", etc? Are these settings stores within a back-up?

User interface/position setup settings (Vix) are stored by backup manager. (I need to use them.)

I don't see "overscan" or "resolution". (Maybe you do when the setup wizard is running.)

Thank you fro your reply, CCS. I have looked at the position screen again. Resolution is not on it, but, overscan is and as are the arrows with various numbers referring to the screen resolution. Which parameters do I change to move the display to the right and to narrow it?

Its the television you should be adjusting not the receiver. Overscan should be turned off on the television. What TV is it? Overscan is called different things on different brands. (On my Sony its called Full Pixel)

When overscan on the TV is active, every screen pixel will show roughly 0.95 video pixel (for HD contents), which isn't really HD any more.....
Only a very limited TV's don't have the option to turn overscan off (which is only allowed for so called 'HD-Ready' TV's; every HD TV MUST be able to turn it off).

The television is a Wharfedale LCD26H DMI, it is 2nd hand and we do not have a manual for it. I have searched for one without any luck. I cannot find anything about overscan or similar on the configuration screens.

I cannot find anything about whether the television will allow the overscan to be turned off. It is a Wharfedale LCD26 HDMI and e do not have a manual for it. The only way for me to correct the problem is the position within the MiracleBox user interface settings.
