VIX Team Vu+ Duo Image v2.0 - 09/02/2011

just flashed the duo and im liking it alot

especially the flashing satellite when motor moves :) - sad i know!

had to write down my usals settings from v1.3 and upgrade was a doddle

thanks guys!

I was trying to manual install cccam ---- not working or green screen !

is this new one based on the original 5.5 vu+duo image, and has it got the very latest drivers in, just want to ask before i think about trying it out

Makes me wonder why I bother writing these release notes... They are there for a reason. Please read, and all will be answered... ;)

Thanks guys, fantastic image. Was well worth the wait.

make sure ALL device are setup in device manager (use green button whilst in device manager) otherwise you will NOT have access to them

Yes all are setup in device manager ie. hdd as media/sda1 and usb as media/sdb1. When choosing location for epg in crossepg it only allows to select hdd or internal.

Have to you mapped the usb stick to /media/usb? So /media/sdb1 > /media/usb, press green button in device manager to set mount points. Then use use left/right buttons to set mount point.

Does anyone know which skins show ecm info like VIX HD

As Sic says, you should map the usb and hdd to the correct mappings... i.e. the usb -> /media/usb, hdd -> /media/hdd...

Thank you guys for the great image!!!!. So many skins to choose from, will take me all night to make up my mind :).
Also really like the subtitles and default language option.

This was worth the wait!!!!!!!!

Tried to install in multiboot but it doesn't work......it boots, but i can't use the exit key on the remote, the screen just keeps on it: the infobar, the ch. list...or anything i press on the remote. Very strange. It' an image that only runs in flash?

VIX has never supported multiboot, it has always been recommended that it be loaded directly to the flash of the box. the fact that it did work in multiboot was more a fluke than by design.

I Have an issue if I perform a network test it fails the local step but it seems to be working i can download plugins and my cam runs fine. Maybe its my router (new super hub from virgin media) upon upgrading to 30mb service although everything passed in VIX 1.3 ?

thats i a common issue with pli, just ignore it, until i find what wrong :)

As pheonix says ... we don't support multiboot... If you want to try multiboot, it's recommended to have the ViX image in flash, and put other images in multiboot...

Also, might depend on the image that you have in flash ... When I used to use barry allen on dm800, the image in flash had to have the latest drivers installed ... are you using an image in flash with drivers of 20110208?

Multiboot is not Supported in our image it may work but then it may or may nopt give you issues as the new images going back VIX 1.2 was not multiboot supported as it gives many troubles

if you decide to go down the multi boot route and find it is unstable then this is something not supported by VIX and really should not be used
