Ok, well I really dont know what your issue is then. If your IP was blocked you wouldn't be able to access the forum.

How are you accessing the plugins? Hold down blue buttun > press green to download plugins.

Have you done a software update? Blue button > Software management > Software update.

I have tried to update via the blue button and via the menu with no joy.

Software update doesn't work either, it searches(Well the bar moves) then gives a 0 packages upgraded message.

Same thing with Telnet.....I can't get my head around whats happening with it at all! Esp considering all other aspects of network enabled plugins are working.

But from reading through the posts the one thing I can take a sliver from is that I'm not the only one affected by similar so hopefully someone smarter than me will figure it out!!!LOL

you could try opening a telnet session and type:

opkg update

then go back in plugin broswer

done this but am gettin a fail, when i do a network test Local is coming up as disconnected but i cant figure out why, i guess this is the source of my problems.
dont know why this is happening have gone over router settings and checked/restarted loads of things but no go...annoying

Excellent job...All working well. Just one question, is it possible in the programming guide to assign the Skin colours to the display?

If not, once everything has settled down could you add it to the list of possible updates.

Thanks again for your work...its more fun updating the box that looking as the channels.

To andyblac:

I just try to find it to insert the command line witch allows hypercam to be launched (ex: /usr/bin/hypercam -c /usr/bin/hypercam.cfg) :)

don't worry about that. It's a known bug but the network still works fine. Let's face it, if you can telnet to the box that imples your LAN is fine.

For those of you that like checklists I've knocked out a few steps for reflashing from scratch. Dunno how useful this will be but I find it handy...

Reflashing checklist: -
1) Setup network
2) Online updates
3) Mount USB
4) Setup swap file
5) Set EPG location from VIX menu
6) Enable debug logs from VIX menu
7) Configure tuners
8) Create /media/usb/picons
9) Load settings and picons
10) Setup softcam
a. Put softcam file in /tmp
b. Copy config file to /etc
c. Run ipk installer
d. Set autostart
11) Setup network mount for NAS
12) Enable timeshift
13) Configure web interface
14) Backup

Working fine just tested now try again did you press the big blue download button

Hi ,

Just wanted to know if you anybody have issues with .mp4 playback using media player ?

Menu - Applications - green button - and then you find both buttons and skins.

When you are in the downloads menu try waiting 1min or so, I have found that the download list sometimes takes a bit of time to appear

Big thank you to the VIX Team for a great image all working perfect (other than any bugs already pointed out by others)

A little tip for other peeps........Try reading through all the 30 pages in this topic & a few other topics before posting your so called problems because if you bothered to search a bit you will find that it is the SAME OLD SAME OLD problems being posted & the majority of answers are already out there.

Thanks again to the VIX Team
