This is to let all users know that in order to use ImageManager live downloads, all users will have to upgrade to released build 5.2.032 once released. Online update should be ok if you are on a 5.2.xxx image.

To online update: Menu > Information > About > Press YELLOW to Software Update.

Some changes are in progress and live downloads will stop functioning in current supported machines, release builds 5.2.030 and below will soon no longer be able to live download images.

Old no longer supported machines will not be affected.

Can up date to any release 5.2.031 onwards, will have the new download paths in image manager. Theres no timescale on online updates per branch unless theres some major change where online updates are no longer possible.

Release build 5.2.031 is currently being built, should complete overnight.

ImageManager/Downloads showing nothing at the moment running 5.2.024 on et10k.

I thought this question suggested that 5.2.031 was the last release that could still be downloaded using image manager, but 5.2.031 was never released.

So Image Manager downloads will have stopped working for everyone until updating to 5.2.032.

Anyway, 5.2.032 shows the downloads again ok.

FWIW, I downloaded 5.2.032 onto my pc and then copied the zip file to the folder on my et10k which image manager is configured to use.

I then couch flashed that file from within image manager. Much easier than using a usb stick.

Online update will be fine for this, no need to flash.

Morning All,

if I read and understand this correctly reference using the internal image manager software we will have to now do a new usb flash upgrade in order to bring us up to date to the current software 5. 2. 32. Once on the new 5.2. 32 we will then be able to use the internal Vix Image Manager going forward.

Many thanks, John

If you are using 5.2.xxx image, then online update is normally fine.

Many thanks Sicilian for your prompt update.

I am currently using a VU+Uno 4KSE with software version 5.2.027 and checking through the image manager on line update no new software visablecfor me to download at this moment in time, is the currently correct?

Kind Regards
John.

Sicilian,

Many thanks for the above information that you supplied I should have read your first post in more detail (my mistake)
I never knew this option was available (Menu > Information > About > Press YELLOW to Software Update.)
While looking at the options listed I noticed it said "Break Cam support" amongst the other changes, can I ask what exactly does this mean.

Once again many thanks for the information you kindly provided.
Regards
John

done online update on both duo 2's and working fine

@cactikid - I still do a settings restore.:)

Another way to have avoided a usb flash (and software update) would have been to do a settings backup of 5.2.<032,
then do a software update:), download and flash 5.2.032, followed by a settings restore.
