Bug With Channel 4 Auto Timer (FAO Andy)

do me a favour, turn on debug in ViX setings, restart gui try that channel 4 by adding a autotimer, then post the log found in /home/root

them turn off debug and restart gui, see if a find out why it not picking it up

Went to Channel 4 HD (Service ID 1:0:19:F23:7D5:2:11A0000:0:0:0)
Added Autotimer for SHameless at 21:00
Into Autotimers list and it's not getting picked up.

If I try the same on Channel 4 HD (Service ID 1:0:1:F23:7D5:2:11A0000:0:0:0)
And Add Auto Timer for Big Fat Gypsy Wedding it works fine

is the timer conflicting with a another ?. all so try disabling the Unique description option near the bettom of option in 2 nd screen.

try remvoving the autotimer go to add again but this time set the Require description to be unique to 'No'

It should't be, but it looks like it is.
There is a timout error in there as well, I'll try another example.

But as I posted 1 Timer on the first Servcie ID will always fail, but on the other one will be fine.
It's the same for normal timers and auto timers.

try and find an example with plenty of time left so i can test thing on it , and i will debug it

looking through the log, it is skipping it because it has a timer already found.

lookup for events with 'Big Fat Gypsy Weddings' as title(case sensitive)
[AutoTimer] We found a timer with same description, skipping event

as i said before, delete the autotimer, recreate it, but in the 2nd screen of options near the bottom you will see an option use 'Require description to be unique' set this to 'NO'

I'll give that a go.

But it didn't work last time, the Big Fat Gypsy Wedding was a newly added timer. (as I don't record that)
It will work on the first service ID, but not on the second ID.

Hope that make sense.

SO to recap.

If I have no Autotimers at all.

I'll set up any recording on Channel 4 HD Service ID Service ID 1:0:1:F23:7D5:2:11A0000:0:0:0 it will not get recorded and I presume looking through the debug log will skip.
If I delete all the Autotimers and set the exact same program up on Channel 4 HD Service ID Service ID 1:0:19:F23:7D5:2:11A0000:0:0:0 it will work fine.

I don't think I'll get a chance to get to the box until the weekend though to give you any examples though.
I can't understand the Debug messages, all I can see in there taht might be causing it is

OVERFLOW while recording
[timer.py] next activation: 1297791935 (in 99997 ms)

But I'll will try and get some other examples. With no other Auto timers set-up when I post the logs.

I've deleted all my times both auto and already selected so no timers active

Set Up to Record 10 O'Clock Liveon Channel 4 HD (Service ID 1:0:1:F23:7D5:2:11A00000:0:0:0)
This works fine, (1.txt)

Then I delete again all timers and try on the other service
And it Fails.
I then don't delete any times and add again on the first servcie and it works.
Looking at the 2nd Debug Log it dosn't look like it even tries to find an event? (2.txt)

well just checked my setting and i only have one channel listed for Channel 4 HD as below

1:0:19:F23:7D5:2:11A0000:0:0:0:

and it working ok here

That is the old one that is still broadcasting

The new channel ref is 1_0_19_D804_A36_2_11A0000_0_0_0

although i dont think this is a problem with vix or any other image or epg

i thinkits just a case of the provider not sending epg data for it just yet

They both get EPG data from the crossing using open epg or what ever it's called.
Just when I go to do the timer it does not appear.

Anyway I've got a workaround so it's not a big problem at all.
