can anyone explain why silverfoxes picons are not included in image. best picons for 28.2

because it then gives a free choice to ppl to choose which ever they like as there are many makers and compliers of picons

remember they are on the vix server

There is an issue using component out with VIX2.0 on the Duo.

is this problem being looked into as i know it still go's pink/purple with the openpli 2.0 image so its a base problem or is it out of your hands till openpli sort it now as i would love to get on the new vix2.0

I like to use the real coolepg as standard epg under guide. I have installed the IPK and it works from the long button pushing. But with coolepg installed and in the VIX menu coolepg choosen as standard, I get green crash screens with the short push. Whats up? It is a choice so why does it crash?

I had the same issue - the only way I could resolve it was to disable the VIX coloured buttons (in VIX menu), install Multiquickbutton 2.7.2 and configure it to run Cool TV Guide when the EPG button is pressed. If you don't know Multiquickbutton it can be a bit complex, so if you're happy to stick with the VIX mapped buttons I suggest you create a new thread about this and post the crash log for andy to investigate.

Don't have access to the box at the moment but if I remember correctly it didn't work when I did it from the Mount menu but then I went through Explore network devices and mounted it from there and worked fine.

Thats how I have always done it. Works fine on new image

Yeah when i was using vix 1.3 i would go to the network browser click on my nas drive (NETDRIVE) and then it would open up and let me mount what it see's. But now it see's NETDRIVE with the ip address when i open it to expand it nothing appears. :s strange and when i do it manually it does not work. I had this same issue with 1.3 and then all of a sudden it mounted itself, after that its fine its just making the first mount that is a pain lol

problem with permanent timeshift

I have permanent timeshift enabled and when i press rewind it does not work.

I have to press pause, then press play and then it would rewind.

I have reinstalled the image from scratch again and tried different skins and same thing happens.

Any help would be great..

Its a PLI thing or bug according to some. VIX team are hoping to fix it.

yes it is a pli bug and andy has found the bug it is being tested before being released

I have found some issues when playing video files with external .srt subtitles (from NAS).
Subtitles work nicely when i playback video files first time, but if is stop video and start playback again subtitles are not working. No difference if i playback same or different file with external .srt subs.

I need to restart my Vu+duo to get subs work again. Any ideas where is the problem?

btw, .srt files need to be encoded with UTF-8, otherwise will not work at all.

it will ONLY work if the free space you have on your HDD is below the reserve amount chosen in the same menu, ie if you want it to just remove straight away after the number of days, just set the reserved free space to the total capacity of your hdd. ie if you have 1TB hdd set to 1000mb

then as soon as number days is reached it will deleted it, other wise it will wait until the HDD is running out of space

I wondered what that "reserved" space was for and thought that was what you say but as an OR not an AND.

This thing REALLY needs a manual. Big job, I know.........

even our guys say that, i code things at times and forget to tell them it is in and how to use, the channel preview thing was in the image aweek before i asked how it was going and no one new it was in yo test :lol3:

Unfortunately I am "old school" FORTRAN, C, bash and LaTeX, that's the extent of my knowledge, never tryied this new things the kids are playing with.....

But speaking of "channel preview"... When in EPG is possible to ZAP to a channel remaining in EPG or "ZAP and EXIT"; is it possible to do the same (just ZAP) while in the channel list? Or OK -> ZAP and Exit is the only way to go.
