As far as I can tell, it restores files into root first, and then processes them from there ....

That's just how the files get restoired.
Some data (timers and config?) is actually kept in memory when enigma2 is running, so after the file restore the is an unresolved conflict.
Not sure how it gets resolved, or rather I'm not sure of the result of the resolution.

I was only going by the debug logs, clearly current timers and the backup timers are merged at some point, but I gave up trying to work out where.

I did try that earlier but it was still the same whichever skin was selected. As per update above it only cleared after several epg cache deletes and re downloading the epg again.

Updated my image yesterday to 5.5.014.004 using online update - updated 337 packages- normally prefer to flash and set up clean.
Are there updated images available for download?
I know they were being built and hosted on personal build servers initially - is that still the case?

Anyone having a problem with NFS mounts on 5.5.014.004?
Have 2 stb's and they are cross mounted using nfs, however mounts don't seem to be working now!
Did not have time to look at it in detail, but did reboot to 5.4.xx P2 version for a quick check, and they are all working perfectly!
Reboot back to P3 version and they are gone!

Would like to flash install latest P3 version and try again.

GigaBlue UE 4K running P3 version, XTrend ET8000 running 5.4.x P2 version

Apologies - just looked back at the link in post #19 and it seems to have the latest image builds

So I am guessing it must have had junk in epg.dat.

I've found that P3 sees the nfs mount on a box running P2, but not the other way round. Need to check.

Neither way was working for me, rebooted both, no change.
Did minimal amount of debugging as other half wanted to watch what was recorded on P3 version, so rebooted back to P2 version to sort that out.

Was all working before I did the online update (made no image backup of course.....), so will do a fresh P3 flash and reconfigure later tonight and see what happens.

P2 (5.4.013) nfs works ok accessing a box running P2 (5.4.013), and vice versa, so P3 is the problem.

NFS Version 3 still being used for all combinations.

If I run network browser, and select a P2 box running 5.4.013, I see this. A P3 box just changes the bottom right text to "collapse this host", but no mounts are shown.
