Has anybody managed to get OpenVPN working on the VIX TEAM IMAGE v2.0?

From the Vix Network Menu, the OpenVPN process is always displayed as STOPPED, even when set to Autostart. I think this is a bug in the software, as the process is listed when using the ps command.

I have all of the required files in the correct directory /etc/openvpn/

No tunnel is created when starting the service from the Vix Network menu. If i use the command below to start the connection

Code:
root@vuduo:~# openvpn --config /etc/openvpn/client.conf

I get the following error.

Code:
Sat Mar 5 18:15:35 2011 OpenVPN 2.1.0 mipsel-oe-linux [SSL] [LZO1] [EPOLL] built on Feb 9 2011
Sat Mar 5 18:15:35 2011 NOTE: OpenVPN 2.1 requires '--script-security 2' or higher to call user-defined scripts or executables
Sat Mar 5 18:15:35 2011 Cannot load certificate file test1.crt: error:02001002:system library:fopen:No such file or directory: error:20074002:BIO routines:FILE_CTRL:system lib: error:140AD002:SSL routines:SSL_CTX_use_certificate_file:system lib

I have tested my keys and certs on a DM800 with Dream Elite image, and all works perfectly without any issues.

No log file is created during this process.

i have it working fine on vix 2.0.3 it always says STOPPED even when running as you say prob a bug, make sure your time is set correctly this can stop it working, you need to chmod (set attributes using an ftp program like flashfxp) the following files/folders:

chmod 600 the /keys/*****.key files
chmod 644 the /keys/*****.crt files
chmod 644 client.conf

make sure whatever cam you are using is running and on autostart then do a reboot. after the reboot give it a little time for the connection to connect (roughly between 10 - 30 seconds)

that shud cover it.

Hi I would also like to use open vpn. Does anyone have a sample configuration file and a quilck setup guide?

Thanks

im afraid i dont have any samples available to give you. most of what i know about openvpn setup on vu duo is posted above.

I do have the some issue on the latest 2.4.
I'll try your suggestion and see.
Anyhow if the panel says STOPPED how to check if it's actually running?

i mean make sure your time is set to the correct timezone gmt or gmt+1 etc, as i say if the clock is not the correct time it can stop openvpn working correctly.;)
