Priority of EPG data - wrong?

Yes, true enough. Would that however be any different to us deleting epg.dat and restarting Engima2 then importing afresh?

No, it's the same, and actually it's what I do now. I wrote a script that stops enigma delete the epg data and restarts it, but I have to telnet to the box and run it and as it stops enigma it cannot be run while there is a recording running ( I think). A simple option in the CrossEPG setup "Clear EPG data" would be MUCH easier.

Oh yes it can. But it will ruin your recording (i.e. split it into two parts, with a minute or so missing. But you could use a commercial break for that).

EPG does not depend from Sat but from provider/service, it depends on what channel and provider you want. But I don't have Thor so I'll let someone else tell you if what you need is there or not.....

Ok, tanks. What "epg component" must be enabled in VIX to be able to populate the epg from just the sat provider/service...? Still speaking about 0.8W (Thor) Canal Digital, Norway.

Edit: Yay, my post no. 100! :)

Well, yes, that was my point, as in: I cannot put it in a cron job as it will ruin any recording active at the time.

By the way I think the fact that enigma can save the recording and restart flawlessly after a crash or reboot or any (mild) catastrophe is one of the best
selling points of a linux STB. If I knew that I would have made the switch sooner ( I lost a lot of stuff on my previuos decoders).
