I've used Main Menu > AutoTimers > Add (Blue) > Enabled: Yes, added Match Title: England and set partial match. Using Add filters, I've set filters for in Title, in Shortdescription and in Description. All use include with England the word to include.

The timer shows in the AutoTimers list with All Channels, Any time and Everyday showing.

There’s an England match listed on ITV1 in the EPG at 20:00 next Wednesday but it's not being picked up by the timer.

Simple question: where am I going wrong please?

Try it without the filters.
Any match involving England will have England in the title.

I would set a England auto timer, match title England with Search type partial match, case insensitive, for any occurrence of England within a program title.
If I want to check the program description I would set another auto timer England-Desc, match title England, Search type description match, case insensitive, for any occurrence of England within the program description.

Otherwise just set up auto timers to catch anything containing MOTD or FIFA in the title and disable any created timers you are not interested in.

Considering the late start of the England Costa Rica game last night, I wonder if the VPS plugin caught the second half of the match? @Joe_90 might help here.

Thanks, it is. I've had to 'exclude' 'Cricket' from the title, description and short description but it's insisting on continuing to set timers for England's cricket matches as well as football.

Update: I've added 'today at the test' to the title exclude and that seems to have worked. Four words rather than just one.

Is there a way to cancel all timers set by an auto timer without deleting the auto timer and then just allowing it to set timers afresh?
