A small correction. Playing avi files from a network mount does work. Playing recordings doesn't work. Maybe it has something to do with the TS file extension.

lol looks like it, just down the latest vix image from the download section backup ur current settings and then install image and do full online updates and you are all done

Please, somebody of VIX team can respond to this question: the available software download come from VIX server or are official drivers, module? I ask because I notice that after the update the box seems to be worst with more issue with divx and I cannot use the fast forward playing files. Is there any test before releasing these updates? Is not a conplain with developers or negative message but I'd like to understand more about this point. Thank you

yes my friend we have a select few beta testers who do indeed test these kinds of things before we release them into the general public. sadly though no matter how many testers you have some small errors will always creep in. we try our very best to eliminate these kinds of things.

Many thanks Pheonix. Currently I stay with VIX 2.1 version. For me is the best image for the CT. I guess that with some improvements on mediaplayer is close to perfection.

As I understood there are two-three ways:
- try to restore these drivers

or, if not working previous release drivers. The problem seems to be in last drivers which are included with online update
- if you have used the VIX backup function you can copy the files on usb to restore the image as normal image update.
I recommend to have a backup before any update (I had the same experience).
- if no other choice you can reinstall VIX 2.1 version if necessary....

There not yet in the image, you can install them manually but as posted on the driver thread back up your existing files if it goes wrong for a easy restore.

Anyway I stay with original VIX drivers as I can see worst condition on mediaplayer. Some movies (xvid) cannot be played at all. I could not see improvements to leave its then better to restore previous conditions. Let' hope with next update. For me the box is very excellent and mediaplayer mainly need to be improved.

The ET9000 is very good Box.I have a DM8000 and the problem, I have with some xvid files.I think Enigma boxes are not the best Media Player or the licensing reasons unknown, Et 9000 supports AC3+ as the only Enigma2-Box.

ET-9000 also supports DTS passthrough and plays 1080 mkv files perfectly

Yes that's true, and also looks cool, but I wonder why Enigma2 boxes generally have problems with divx / xvid , are the licensing issues.For AC3 + is also required license,and Et9000 is supported this.I think that is also associated with divx / xvid run perfectly, I trust CT.

Cannot get timeshift to work. Picture freezes, and I'm unable to press the play button.
Also unable to stop it, just showing the "VIX"-loading in the left corner.

Also, why does it shows the "VIX"-loading when using left/right-buttons? Makes no sense, annoying that I'll have to wait
about 5 secs. Both picons and EPG is located at USB-stick.

Have you mounted your HDD correctly? Initialized your HDD correctly? Or you trying yo record to a usb stick?

is your timeshift - path set correctly?
