There is no default password it's left blank until you decide to enter one.

A small thing VLC is not working. It worked straight out of the box with VIX 2.2. Any help, Thanks.

Stupid me. I have only set up tuner A at the moment so it's not possible to stream on any other transponder or sat than the one being watched now.

Firstly FANTASTIC WORK guys, you've done a great job improving the previous image which was fantastic as it is! Well done.

Just having a slight issue with the CrossEPG, when downloading the latest EPG I am getting the following: 'crossEPG error: script returned an error'? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

It works a while and then the connection is lost, just as it was in the earlier versions. LAN works fine.

Again, some more details please: what stick etc.
I'm using WiFi without any problem, also on ViX 2.2

Try dreambox as i have to use that in telnet sometimes

Wifi working great here to on uno vix 2.3 using the drivers in the feeds and im using a dlink wireless n stick

try root/passwd ( not password )

you will then be prompted to type in a new password

hi guys, well done on the new image looks very good, just 1 thing as far as i am concerned, opvenpn does not appear to autostart after a reboot (with autostart enabled). it may be me, anyone else having the same issue?

I'm especially liking the 3d options Is there any consensus yet on the best setup for these options?
Can the Vu+Duo autodetect and switch to 3d mode?
I see there is an auto setting but it doesn't seem to do anything for me, yet when I switch that setting manually to Side by Side the TV autodetects the 3d mode and the display is correct.
Yet I still need to change the setting back to off or auto when I leave 3d viewing.

The volume is an issue on this image i found.
Sometimes when i turn off the box and turn back on i can not adjust the volume and no bar visible when pressing vol button, only turning it off and on again via the switch at rear or selecting deep standby gets it back on.

Hi folks,

I know I have praised you several times already for the new image but here goes again... I just mounted my NAS drive and my AVI movies seem to play perfectly on the new image, really happy with this as I used to have to play them with my Screenplay Pro.

This just opened up another dimension to my Vu Duo!!

Yep, I'm one of them.

But, could not tune any of the HD channels, immediately after reflash.
I am making a full rescan (there 5 satellites, hence it'll take a while).
I will post back if the rescan will solve the issue.
BTW, thank you for the new release!

it could easily be bootloders are already installed by many members proir to this release

Indeed you did something wrong:
when Enigma2 is alive, most data is in live-memory. These data will be written (= saved) when E2 shuts down. You have seen the example: change whatever you want, but E2 overwrites that when restarting.

The proper way to edit files live on the box, is to stop E2 first (via the telnet command "init 4"), then do your editing, and finish with restarting E2 (via the telnet command "init 3").

I'm pretty sure you will never forget this!

I am no techy with certain things, but would the new bootloader cause an issue with different vu box due to different revisions for example i have one of the 1st duo's with white remote, my brother, other brother and friend have the later one?
I am for curiosity going to reflash tomorrow incase i have a bad flash maybe.

I think all VU+ duo,s now have the same firmware/boot loaders, I also have one of the early units, and no issues at all, other than the over scan problem, which I fixed via the settings on the TV ( panny 3d )

I have been having the same problem and I think it is something to do with the HDMI CEC, I have samsung Anynet running on my TV and bluray player also my AV receiever is in the loop and I found that if i did anything with the controls for any of them the volume disappeared as you say, I have since turned CEC off in the Vu and not had the same problem since. Going to have more of an investigation tomorrow
