1.3m dish in Almeria, Spain.

Hi all,
I've bought a chalet in Spain (Almeria) and there is a 1.3 metre dish doing nothing. I've got a Starlink setup here (as its cheapish) but would like to do something with the dish rather then skip it.
I understand that Astra 28.2 requires a much larger dish but it would be interesting if I could use the dish for live sports or maybe the odd English channel. I have in the past used a Vu+ duo in the UK but wondered if its worth investing into another box and probably a better LNB. With streaming sports having a delay it would be nice to get live actually live.
Just to add I have a 360 view so could point it in any direction. I have searched but couldn't find anything.

Hi Nick,
nice part of Spain there. I lived around Málaga.
With the 130 cm. dish I think you should be well OK to receive a strong enough signal from the Astra 28.2 satellite.
As the receivers and LNB's aren't that costly, of course depending on what you want / need, I would definitely give it a go.
Of course the dish needs to be very well aligned, but with compass and angle (can be downloaded on smartphone) should be able to be done by yourself. If not, I'm sure satellite installers would be able to help.

With a 130cm dish you won't get anything from the uk beams. So no BBC, ITV, C4, C5. But if you are into shopping and religion channels that dish will be perfect.

Thanks for the replies, I might buy a new box and LNB and have a look at other satellites if Astra 28.2 wont be much use, will do a bit more research on what's available, as I said live footy is my Must and streaming is too delayed for me.
What's a decent box now?.

Well you are not going to get live football from satellite unless you have a subscription.
