Btw your current setup is wrong. You have told the receiver you have 2 independent motorized dishes.

Can't view channel with current recording

Hi all I don't know if this is an error or not, I had a recording in progress and I decided to try and watch it live as the recording had only just started but I could watch any channel bar this one, could also go into timers and watch it as it recorded just not live.

Btw channel 4 hd if it makes any difference on tuner B, as this was set up as deferred tuner

So is this correct ?

That suggests one of your feeds is either A/ Loose or B/ Faulty. Double check the cabling to your receiver, I'm assuming you have a twin feed coming into the house from the Dish/LNB? & you have configured both tuners correctly?

From his other thread, may be an issue with the tuner configuration. Set to what he thought was right, telling receiver he has two motorised dishes, when he only has one. Recording kicked in when dish was not pointing at 28.2, recording failed. When he tries to use the channels on the same frequency, receiver tries to use the non-existent motor which is in a used/failed state.

I may be wrong. In which case, I apologise in advance.

Thanks I did have problems as Abu says but thought I had it fixed, I have a twin lnb with 2 feeds coming into box, tuner A set up as positioner, tuner B setup as equal to A, preferred tuner set to B, so I could get ABM & cross epg to work.

Dish moves as required and can get 2 recordings at once on any satellite picked, I have just tried to check strength and in positioner set up I don't get any SNR,BER and no lock but getting SNR 16.3dB & AGC 89% in second info bar.

Anything else I can check ?

You are setting up tuner B wrong. It cannot be B = A as there is no motor on B.

Okay tuner A goes to motor then to lnb tuner B goes to second port on lnb, so help please

So if you set one tuner as motorised, and the other equal to the first one, haven't you just told the receiver you have two motorised dishes?

Can you send one LNB port to 30w and other to 42e?

Sorry didn't know that I had replies in that thread, and the diagram is correct as my set up, but it still doesn't answer what tuner B should be set as ?

And just to say that I do appreciate the help I am getting

As in the other thread set tuner B up as loop through and it seems to be working

Okay seems to be working with Tuner B as loop through, although to me loop through means looping the tuners via a patch lead

That is still wrong. Just because it works does not make it correct. Correct tuner configuration is that which matches the hardware connected to each and every tuner.

Some receivers like the Twin have hardware loop through, which as you say uses a loop cable. Others have internal loop through.

The tuner with wire going to the motor then LNB = Simple, Positioner, set your co-ordinates

The tuner with wire going direct to LNB, (bypasses motor but on same dish) = 2nd cable of motorised LNB
