AC3 in the audio settings

I'm currently pulling what little hair I l have left out
My problem is I cant seem to get any 5.1 sound out of my solo2. My set up is solo2 to hdmi on amp, amp to hdmi TV . In A\V settings down mix is off, I've also tried multichannel on and off but to no avail. When I watch a movie in 5.1 it just comes through as 2.0, when I press the audio button no Ac3 channel is there just mpeg
Any help would be much appreciated before im compleatley bald

when you press Audio and you see only MPEG then you are NOT on a channel with AC3!

Can anyone help? im thinking there might be a problem with the box because it worked for a wile until i changed channel

Not all movies broadcast on sky HD are 5.1, I've seen some newer budget films with only stereo audio, also very few if any on sky SD are 5.1 anymore.

That could be the problem with it working for a bit yesterday with regards to changing channel, one film might have been 5.1 and the other not
