How do I adjust the screen size in the settings for my gigablue receiver, as the time and date are partially off the screen

Ok so I'll have to disconnect the tv ariel from the gigablue receiver and reconnect it to the tv, change the screen size, then put the tv ariel back where I have it now.
I thought it could be done on the gigablue box, but not
Thanks

Yes it cn be done on E2 but most tv,s have settings that fix overscan on the tv.

I do this on most images, I only have openatv installed at the moment but its menu, set up, video, osd calibration. Make the screen smaller until the red lines are visible and move the edge of the screen up and down.

It's usually that the TV is set to overscan. (Why is a mystery - I always thought of this as a CRT fudge - not needed for flat screens).
So if that gets turned off (on the TV) it should be OK.
At least that's what works for me...

I agree with @twol and @birdman. Fix the overscan in the TV settings, not on the satellite receiver. Usually called "exact pixel" or similar depending on TV brand. Overscan is a legacy of CRT TVs and most flat screen panels should have it disabled.

I tried and better tried to adjust the screen size on my samsung tv, but no matter what I changed the picture size to , it didn't alter it when watching the satellite tv. I eventually found that going to the user interface and selecting 'Yes' to change the screen size to suit.

If I'm recalling properly, I remember that, on my previous TV (Samsung), the overscan adjustment was set separately on each input. You could have different overscan settings on HDMI 1/2/3 etc. and also on the in-built tuners.

Well I don't believe it, after a reboot, the screen size went back to where it was before I changed it!!!
