Is this at all possible ?

Hi,

I know this sounds daft. Xtrend 8500 2 x sat and 2 x cable tuners.Cable tuners set as not connected as no cable yet. Showing "no free tuner" when recording one channel. Have tried all tuner permutations.
Change skin from SlyHD and fault seems to have gone.

Possible at all, or should I expect flaw to return ?

First of all: tell us what your satellite setup is.
Secondly: no skin has any influence on the functionality of the box.

Has to be cam or sat config .... Never seen this issue (which doesn,t mean that it couldn,t be an issue!)

Connected as
Simple, Advanced, Same as.....you name it, I have tried it. Set up as my other box (vu duo) Tuner C....Simple. Tuner D.....Simple. A and B are cable tuners. Not yet in use. The are set as "not connected"

Switch the sat tuners to A & B and disable C & D until ready

Thanks....but already done so ! Now returned to original config from supplier.

Might try Cam next. Confident sat set up is correct. Works for Duo, Venton HD2 and my old Dreambox.

We have the following process in place. It may be an image issue, but impossible to tell from your post. Can you please supply details of image in use.

Sorry but different brands different requirements, if everybody stuck to your view they would have never invented the wheel....... But its your box

Skin was Sly HD. Now changed.
Skin now is blank....but I am sure its default.

How did you create your service settings? A list from the feeds, ABM, home made or...?

Now a wee bit further on.

Only me and wife here so nothing streaming.

Tuner being recorded shows good signal in sat finder.
Other tuner shows zero signal in sat finder.
I have now switched off all wifi devices in house and blow me.....both tuners are working. I will reconnect one at a time to find what is causing this.

Why does this not happen with my duo and venton boxes?

That is rather a sure sign of 'somebody' streaming from your box.
See what "Information --> Streaming clients" tells you when this happens again.

So you want to have issues with those boxes as well
